THIS is the Conor we need. Balanced. Not giving his opponent flowers, but also not underestimating them. Mindset is everything. After he takes Dustin down, he will have his edge back. And people will fear him again.

Conor better back all his talk up in the fight and dispatch Dustin quickly in the first round because that's his best or better yet probably only chance of winning the fight. If Conor fails to do so and the fight lasts longer, Dustin's much more durable than Conor and has much better cardio, and is very likely going to outlast Conor in a five-round fight, and quite possibly finish Conor again just like in their last fight. This trilogy fight between Conor and Dustin will determine who's tougher and who's better.
When he talks about “freebies” and 155 pounds on the scales what does he mean by that?
Conor cut to 155 rather than 156 as in he worked more than necessary cutting weight
In a non title fight you could be a pound over the weight limit. 156 pounds in that case. Conor was 154 last time. It's more of a mental thing.
He means he's taking advantage of what's their to be taken advantage of instead of being the good guy and handing shit over

In a normal lightweight bout like what this and the last fight was you are allowed to weigh up to 156, but Conor made championship weight, which is 155 and Poirier made 156, so 1 pound more can be a advantage according to Conor, mostly because you have to cut less
