@SilkandStones CPS and a judge decide if you go into foster care not the child (though depending on the state and how old the child is, they can decide to stay) so if Amelia is in foster care, CPS and the court has found enough evidence of abuse or neglect to warrant her being there, it could be that Dad is creating an unstable home environment through his constant cheating or she’s being emotionally abused in some way.
I feel bad for Amelia. Her bio mom brainwashed and traumatized her into hating the woman who could’ve been an amazing stepmother to her. Then her dad cheats again and causes even more problems for her. Also I don’t get why they didn’t get her therapy at any point, it could’ve helped her a ton .

That happy marriage with a rich man turned into a train wreck were they lost any reputation they had, had to quit their jobs out of embarrassment, got stuck with the daughter she lied about wanting & ended up divorce cause said stepdaughter left. All that work & now she's divorced at a young age & everything is a mess. Wonder what ex-husband thinks? None of this was worth it & the daughter he was worried about is gone.

After filing our divorce it took 6 months to become final. Other states have other lengths.
