It always amazes me how the DIL tolerates the MIL like this..I had a horrible MIL and I put my baby on my hip and his diaper bag on my shoulder. Walked out and never looked back..She told my then husband along with my ex FIL that he should break my arm to teach me respect. I left and have no regrets and no tolerance for any kind of abuse..That was 32 years ago. Best decision I ever made.

That's awesome - I did the same maybe we were just stronger and more independent back then,I don't know about you but at 21 mum and dad showed me the door (not in a bad way) I had job and my mum had spent years teaching me how to take care of myself and my home - so when my ex husband went that one step too far I told him to go fuck himself and headed off on my own - best thing I ever did 😁👍

What's wrong with these MILs? Why is Martha viewing Connor as a child? He's a grown man. Martha needs to focus on being a wife to her husband and butt out of her son's marriage. Why is she so controlling? I wonder if she abused and manipulated him his whole life. Connor wants to hide behind his wife. Sounds like he's scared of his mom. I'm glad she's standing up to MIL instead of being a doormat like the other women characters. Victoria should have called the police on MIL. It's illegal to lock the homeowner out of her house. The MIL changed her mind quick when Victoria signed and submitted the divorce papers. LOL I'm surprised it took Connor an hour to call Victoria. LOL well... well... well. How the turns have tabled. Look who came back after getting a dose of reality with a slice of humble pie. So, Martha was miserable and took her frustrations out on Victoria. Verbal abuse is not a friendly conversation. He has a right to enjoy his retirement after all those years of working. Martha wasn't willing to help Victoria with the housework when she was married to Connor. Now, Martha wants Victoria to just give her money. Reality bit Martha really hard. Even the ideas she has been putting in her son's head came back to haunt her. Don't be in a rush to quit your job.

I still cook and clean for him two times a day and make special snacks every now and than while working full time. She hates that I can't help around the house. She is constantly angry at me saying I don't care, while I keep doing house work to my max ability. She feels sad when she see my husband even folding laundry. She is constantly monitoring what he is given to eat almost every 3 hours when at home. My husband tried to talk her out of this behavior a 100 times. She just doesn't give up. Now she behaves differently in the presence of my husband and her original self in his absence.
And the house. The bathroom was always filthy in the cramped small house in which I don't even have a rack in a shelf to keep my clothes. I put up with everything but the filthy bathroom..

That really did come back to bite the ex-MIL. Hope her husband & son suffer as well since they deserve some punishment past losing the bread winner.
Maybe if the mom nags them enough it'll break them down enough to feel worthless so even though she's forced to do all the chores they know that they're doing worse off without the ex-wife who is doing better than them.

Exactly who did Martha think she was? She was a harpy. (@8:42) Her and husband moved in with them, not the other way around. It sounds like they didn't contribute anything financially or around the household, so why should DIL who works full-time+ be responsible for all house chores when her husband said he would help and then go back on his word?
Can't blame her for leaving. Would have loved it to have been her place before marriage so she could have kicked THEM out. 😂

This reminds me of a reddit a and no I don't have a link. Wife didn't/couldn't accept that the husband worked from home. So she'd barge into his office while he was working. When he'd lock the door she'd knock until he opened it. Evey time she disturbed him it was for petty stuff. Open this jar or come repair something that wasn't urgent.
She'd even try to pawn their kid off onto him when he'd come out for break or something. I believe she was a SAHM.
He got fed up and moved to the basement. Where she then proceed to vacuum or do exercise or something to make noise. In the end he had to work in his car away from home because she wouldn't leave him alone.

They are wonderful women, and I am so glad they are in my life. I could never imagine speaking to or treating them the way "Martha the witch" did. They are my daughters-in-law, but we are also best friends . They truly are fantastic women. Martha really went out of her way to harass, insult and belittle Tori in any and every way possible, didn't she? All because Tori worked FT, and didn't want to have to do all the cooking and cleaning around the house. Especially not for 4 relatively healthy and able-bodied adults who COULD help, but just... didn't want to.
So the fact Martha is now being treated the exact same way by her rude, lazy and ungrateful husband and son is just hilarious!
