Annual spends on each card
Gold 72k (most spends on gyftr)
MRCC 250k (partial spends on gyftr)
Plat Travel 400k (partial spends on gyftr)
All combined I can hit 100k MR points 1 year easily.
For me, they gave MRC LTF as a tag along card for my Gold Charge Card. And on Gold Charge Card, I get Renewal Benefit with waiver on the Fees.
Plus i recently hoped on to Platinum Travel Card too.
I feel special when all these points hit my wallet. Cha-Ching!
What is the add-on card benefit for lounge access if I have a Amex platinum travel card?
Hey Pranay, just a silly question on top of my head- I have a gold card and its my first year and I don’t renew it and later a year or so I apply back for gold card wether I will be charge the first year fee of 1k plus gst or the second year fee criteria will apply in that scenario?
What happen if we cancel renewal of Gold card for 2nd year without MRCC... Does they make any changes in MR points still can we use points?
How about comparision between Amex platinum charge vs Hdfc infinia? Considering city as Pune where Amex does not have much local offerings for the metal

I dont think MRCC gives you reward points on fuel and some other categories where gold charge card does... the comparison seems incomplete.

plat travel points convert as 1:1 in marriott bonvoy right now, you said that once a year you get 4X point conversion in an earlier video. How to do that?
It is 1.3x-1.5x during promotion period (typically in Q4 - Oct-Dec period)
So is it possible to get mrcc for one year and gold next and keep switching like this?
Should be possible for the first two years at least. After that its hit and try, also a lot changes in two years and the offers and benefits might change too
Is there any platform that allows to pay rent using Amex?
My Annual spends are below 72k. So is it better to get Amex Gold if your spends are below 72k ?
To maximize the spends plan to spend 6k in the month you are spending, even if your overall spends are lower than 72k. Also, if you are not spending on Gyftr, MRCC is better.
Couple of questions -
1) Does the 1500 transaction include fuel expenses too?
2) Payments made to foreign educational institutes like CFA also count towards the annual milestones right?

Does Rent Payment on Amex cards accumulate reward points?
Would def accumulate milestone points. However, many portals don't allow payments via Amex and charges are insane.

So got a mail few days back that for each referral Amex is giving 12K reward points instead of 8K for a limited time. So there's that! 😀

Have a doubt for Amex gold how do u get 6000 bonus points . With or without referral max welcome bonus is 4000 points only
4000 is welcome points for everyone. If you go via referral, you get 2000 extra points. That's 6000 points.
Currently they're running an offer and giving 4000 points on referral instead of 2000. So that's a total of 4k + 4k = 8k points
Infinia or one of these? I have LTF Infinia. Should I get any of these paid cards?
I have LTF Infinia too. However, returns on these are better. So you can choose to spend first on these cards and max out the points and then spend on Infinia, through the year.
Apparently you can only buy Rs 10,000 amazon pay vouchers in a calendar month now. What do you do about this?

My only question is if the gold card has an annual fee waiver based on spends. Otherwise I’m good with MRCC which has a spend based waiver. Got very good points using gyftr within first 15 days of usage.
There is no waiver for Gold card as per their website. You might want to check with Amex towards the end of first year.
I've not come across cases of any recent cards being offered a fee waiver. But no harm checking. Also at 72K annual spendsz highly unlikely that they'll waive it off

No plans of consulting at this point :)
However, here's how I would approach this. Assuming tickets to Europe = 1Lac. To get them from points, even if we assume an aggressive 10% returns on spends, you need to spend 10L. If you're organically spending that amount - you should try optimise for cards. If not, please don't overspend just to claim the tickets :)
Thank you.... I use AMEX Gold Charge (got it lifetime free.. :)) ... But loose on points sometimes due to acceptability challenges... Any recommendations for another bank card?
Also... Is there anyway to use the card for electricity and maintenance charges? I currently do a bank transfer... The society's condominium doesn't provide credit card as an option right now...

No solve for the society bill payment afaik. Even I pay using UPI. You can try the indusind rupay credit card and use with UPI for these bills

I think the MRCC returns on year 2 go even further up if you account for the full fee waiver on spending Rs. 1.5 lakhs. I think the appropriate comparison for this video would have been the Smart Earn v. MRCC, especially where Smart Earn gives you 5x and 10x back on Amazon and Zomato.

@@pranayk37 Mistake of having left when you asked people to leave after the headline :) On a separate note, you rightly point out the Gold makes little sense after year 1. Unlike the U.S, there are no credits whatsoever against the Rs. 4,500 they want to charge.

How 0.5 value, don’t say marriot or taj options
On Mariott, you can get 1.3-1.5 value. 0.5 is average of conversion to Flipkart, airline miles, Taj, Mariott.
