Dude in his house eating knows it all
he did get me to look up the word anthropomorphized so he's got that going for him.
Well at least they didn’t waste tax dollars by calling a big fancy tow truck. Nice work loader!
That is one reason the BEST plow truck ever, is one that has seen its days and is not a 50k beauty queen, unable to get out of its own way. It's easier on your mind to not have to worry about getting a scratch from a broken chain or something. Bring some cable ties to strap down any broken cross links so they won't beat and bang on the fender, or take you out of action. I also brought a big dog food bag as a ground cloth. It's waxed, and stays dry while you kneel on it on the snow. I could chain up in 5 minutes on or off, and not even get my knees wet.
I worked with someone who drove plows when he was younger. The plowing was fine, but the people were awful.
I bet your the neighbors from hell!
Snowy afternoons with Mr.Plow. That's how the boy came to be.
We had a bad snow storm on March 24th of 2018, about 23" and our DOT brought out road graders with chains on. Our trucks usually have chains on them as well. They never get stuck. That storm sucked (however I love the snow itself) as it knocked over 14 trees on my road alone and killed the power for 5 days. The best part was, helicopters were brought in to see exactly where the power lines were down in the mountains because they couldn't get trucks in there to assess the damage. The following December snow storm of 2018, around the 9th, was nearly as bad, however we didn't lose power that long, which was good. I have videos of some of these.
Funny thing is, neither of these storms fell in winter. Spring and Fall actually
Anyone whose never got stuck plowing that much snow has really never left the parking lot
And all it takes is to get a tiny bit too far over to the shoulder where it tapers off or is soft and the rig goes downhill, no matter where you are aiming it. The SMART guy is the one that STOPS, before it's far gone down into the ditch, and catches a tug by a passing driver. I had two pull straps in every rig so I could pull people out of ditches, or GET pulled out. And all it takes is to lose traction on an edge, and you're trapped. IF you don't take it to the worst, it's an easy fix, with a little help, or even your own winch if you have it. Guys with their diesel 4x4's LOVE to pull stuck rigs out, showing the prowess of their rig. Whatever it takes.
Would have been classic if a neighbor showed the driver how to get it out. Happens all the time with big rigs. Funny as hell none the less
Its so easy to get stuck. Almost as easy as judging from your nice warm house eating steak
That's my favorite way to judge ;)
4:00 No ma'am It's definitely the big engine that can!
Alot of lazy boy plow drivers here. You guys have all the answers.
My 78 GMC drives right through that like it's nothing. Proper tool for the job my friends
So is that plow truck not proper enough?
@@608Ralphy YES, but he got too close to a "slippery slope". I noticed they had markers there to guide him and he was outside the marked area when he slid out. It happens, because the snow all looks the same on top. It's kinda like flooded areas where it all looks the same, and if drive on a road that gets lower, you won't know it till the water rises around you. Snow does that too. I've driven on unplowed highway where you only knew where the roadway was by comparing the divider between the 4 lanes, and shoulder sloping away, and everything beyond that was snow. You tend to center it on what is YOUR two lanes in your direction, so you don't do what this guy did and get too close to the shoulder and get pulled into the shoulder snow and slope.
Driving through snow and plowing are too totally different issues
Get a proper European truck, 4x4, 6x6 or 8x8. Job done
@@andyb4796 which European trucks would you suggest?
Amusing video thanks. Maybe some chains on those wheels would be very useful considering the weather conditions??!!! Greetings from Switzerland
He should at least have them sitting in the cab in case he needs them. Greetings to you sir! Tell your country thanks for the watches, cheese and bank accounts :p
I could do fine with one those bank accounts too he he he
I am in the southern part of Switzerland and fortunately we had nearly no winter and are enjoying a nice springtime, at the moment our area is like the eye of a cyclone, calm and nice so all I can do is enjoy it as long as it lasts
Well I am jealous, we are scheduled to get even more snow today if you can believe it. 19 inches and counting...
But has not the prophet AlGore prophesied that by 2014 our children would not ever see any snow anymore?? he ehe he he I guess he is one with one of those Swiss bank accounts you mentioned huh huh huh
Here it snowed just a couple weeks before xmas about 5 inches and that was it for this winter. On the other hand they had tons of snow some 500 miles south of here in Italy (the border is about 5 miles from my home I am about 50 miles straight north of Milan Italy) and about 75 miles north of here in the central Alps of Switzerland they had a total of snow fall this winter surpassing the 25 feet mark.
Yea I thought snow and bumble bees were supposed to be a distant memory by this point!
I love using the grill in storms LOL !
Me too, I dont mind the couple feet I gotta clear off it first ;)
I move it right in front of the sliding door & cook from my living room. LOL
Also doesn't look like he has a load on or obviously no sander.
hay if it wasn't for him you wouldn't have safe roads to drive on, and just maybe he's been at work for a lot longer then you been up!!! have respect for them they do but in some long hours
You're right of course
6X6 truck with no thread on the front tire
The snow plow needs change
Yesssa!
You mean "chains"??
Bye Felicia.... lol 🤣
Deep snow requires chains in rears
That's a great way to damage a plow
the plow trucker got stuck because he didn't plow the road and slid out a tiny hill.
Lmfao Bye felicia
It's stupid to attempt plowing without a set of chains.
A lot of PWDept,'s have spinner chains located in front of the drive wheels. they put them down when needed,, IDK if this truck was so equipped. They use them on school buses & fuel oil trucks as well where I come from in CT.
@@donaldbartram6315 I've seen those before, not sure if he had em or not
I've plowed in tri-axles, 10 wheelers, pick ups, payloaders,, Nothing is unstoppable. I retired 4 yrs ago from full time trucking, still drove & plowed p/t until 2016 when I moved to sunny central FL. I am happy to stay here until the end. LOL I can deal with a hurricane or 2.
Wallace823 exactly when the snow is that deep you need chains.would of made a big difference.
Usually release your third axle and you would be free
The truck did not appear to have a drop axle. Both rear axles were drivers.
Nothing wrong using that equipment to get the truck free on the last one. I guess the cammer wanted a heavy tow truck to get it unstuck. In weather like that it could be hours before a tow truck could get there. Heck we have done the same thing with trucks in mud too. And that truck is too big for where he was trying to plow. It's bad enough in a 3500 extended cab
Looks like driver has never heard of a shovel
Should've dug himself out not dump all his sand out
He needs the weight
Or he could let the loader help him for 30 seconds
Plow truck should've sweeped through earlier.
I live in that city my road didn't even get plowed for after 7 hours
See if you look at his tires he has no chains
His load of salt is most likely empty too. Chains kill tires very quickly, so that's why you don't see them much.
I've driven through a lot worse then that without issue
Same here, I am not sure what the heck happened to that guy. I think he must have shifted the load to his non driving wheels or something. Thanks for the comment!
My heroes
Driving through that and pushing tons of snow that hinders your traction are two totally different things
Can't believe that lazy ass drivers couldn't chain it up but used plow to pull that wait unbelievable yes what a waste of tax payers money!!! You know there's damage!
Man , when it snows in Minnesota , it snows. I think only Buffalo can get more snow than you guys there.
Daniele Sbordone
Sault Ste Marie Canada . $.5 feet of snow . The clowns in the video don't know what winter is .
Your metaphors are bad and you should feel bad.
I did some soul searching and you're absolutely right. I've decided to take a bubble bath with a George Forman grill. Thank you for your service.
What's up with all the hate on this guy, just a light hearted video, yet you have old crusty truck drivers ripping into the guy, calling him a liberal and so forth. Bunch of trolls! Yes the dunp driver was a noob and yes the front loader that dragged him around...by the blade was stupid and probably bent or even broke the plow hook up. Nice video pal pay no mind to the haters, their just pissed you live in a nice neighborhood and don't "have" to go out and fight the snow.
Oh don't worry about me man, I don't know what it is that makes people lash out online but I think it's something to pity. Imagine having the need to come after someone on RUclips for something like this, poor bastards probably don't feel much control in their lives and they will take it where they can get it. It used to bug me, but now #Therapy :p
How do you know he's a noob ? Every plow driver has gotten stuck in this amount of snow, it happens
