I’m 27 and my dad still hides Easter eggs and my Easter basket every year, I don’t ask him to, I just never had the heart to tell him I was too old for it. This year he’s had some health issues and it’s a little harder for him to get around and especially bend down and he was really sad that he wouldn’t be able to keep the tradition alive this year. My fiancé knew this, went over and filled my Easter eggs with him, hid my Easter basket and eggs where my dad told him to. When we got over there yesterday my dad was grinning from ear to ear when he told me the Easter bunny had been there.
OK but the England one is 100% accurate, I wanted the Creme Egg one and was given a different one and had Roast Lamb for dinner despite half the family hating it!
@@mb-the-enby it's delicious and been my favourite since a young child...its just yummy meat. i understand preferences but i genuinely dont see how somebody could like beef or other kinds of meat and not lamb. im more canadian than greek but grew up eating my yiya's food so that probably had an impact, i just didnt realize it wasnt well liked
OH DON'T! My mum's been hammering through hot cross buns since late March! I've stopped eating eggs mind you. Body can't handle the sugar anymore, even like five mini eggs has me dying. Roast Lamb was banging though, shame the Yorkshire's were a bit hard - but still good!
For my Easter since I have divorced parents I go to church in the morning dye eggs hunt for eggs then we went to Buffalo Wild Wings to watch march madness 😂
Fun fact: the idea of Easter eggs originates back to a story about Mary. I don't remember it specifically, but it had to do with a king not believing Jesus was king. The king said "There's as much a chance of that baby being the Child of God as there is this egg turning red!" And he held an egg up in his hand. The egg ended up turning red by miracle. So yeah 🤗
NAH BC I LOVE CREME EGGS THERE AMAZING. REMEMBER WHEN THE SMALL ONES CAME IN ACTUAL EGG CARTONS ONE YEAR? BROO THAT WAS FIRE 💀ALSO KINDER BUENO EGGS ARE A MASTERPIECE.
I'm nearly a high school graduate and rather than doing a traditional Easter basket (my sister in college was pestering for one), she did these snack boxes that were filled with stuff like chips, cookies, popcorn, and other stuff. That poor snack box has already been ransacked lol. I love that my mom still does this stuff for my sister and I, she's awesome.
im from america. my parents would set up a little easter egg hunt around the house (just plastic eggs with a lil hersheg kiss inside or whatever) then they would give me a little basket. it consisted of some kind of candy bar (usually my favorite, Crunch bar) and a new book or two. i was always a huge book worm. i never realised people DEMANDED things in their baskets. (im gen z… unfortunaly) a girl im aquainted with texted me to “vent” that here mom didnt get her the new stanley she asked for. huh?! what?! im so confused!!
I’m from America and I’ve never demanded anything for my basket, I just get what I get (usually a bit of candy, some gum, and a book/art supplies. Nothing huge)
I'm American. My kids couldnt touch their baskets till they were completely ready for Church. Never have they hopped out of bed and gotten ready so fast 😂 After church they had an easter egg hunt with their sundays school class. Got home stuffed themselves on candy while I took a nap. Dinner was what we have every sunday- left overs and quick heat food. Sunday is supposed to be a day of rest and Im taking it! 😂😂
Easter Sunday for me in America Here's your basket with a candy bar and chip bag, and a small stuffed animal that you have a 50% chance of actually liking
I’m American and this is super accurate, except my basket is always hidden in the yard with the eggs. And I get outside toys from target, some candy, and maybe a craft, nothing expensive.
Whats funny is my family never rly did the classic american one but we dont do the england one either. We do a small egg hunt in the house and we find out baskets too. Normally our baskets just have a little bit more of whatever chocolate is in the eggs and then one or 2 small things for fun. Me and my sister dont ask for things either. We just get some chocolate and some small fun things. Like I got a clicker fidget toy in mine and some goofy socks
My grandparents love England and my mother grew up there for a time and I believe that’s why I got a crème egg when I went to dinner at my grandparents and we had a roast lamb which I did NOT complain about it was DELICIOUS
I just saw another video of an American woman who moved to Italy and married an Italian man. She went shopping for her egg for Easter and showed all they have to choose from. Honestly I want one!
“This will be your Last Supper!”
“Just because He’s arisen doesn’t mean my patience has”
