Such fun facts and secrets, thank you TPM VIDS!💐🌹By the way can you please do top ten secrets of Disneyland's haunted mansion? I'd like to see that!😍❤️
Hi, TPM! I love your videos! I’m a cast member at Animal Kingdom and technically we get “escaped animals” all the time. The macaws that we use for both bird shows don’t always make it back home and tend to hang out where they’re not supposed to be. We call this a Signal 96E over our radios.
I work at little mermaid in WDW and I didn’t even know that about our animatronics! I’ve been watching your videos for years now and they greatly contributed to me having the courage to follow my dream to work for Disney, I owe so much to you! Thank you!
@@mayapapaya5005 As a kid I was backstage there with my school choir and I can verify the stories that people tell that they do warn you you will be thrown out if you try to take pictures of anybody without their heads on!
Disney's original Audio Animatronics were built internally by WED Enterprises. Like the original Mr. Lincoln figure and the original ones used in It's a Small World. But Disney also has had a long history of working with 3rd party companies on rides, Arrow Dynamics built the first Disney Roller Coasters they even later sold the MIne train coaster to other parks. Zamperalla and Intermen were hired to build Disneyland Paris rides.
Hi TPM! My mom is a cast member , one of her friends used to work as Ariel for fantasmic they used blue fireproof bags because the black ones obsorbed heat from the fireworks 😅
Back in 2007, I took the Keys to the Kingdom tour and it took you backstage in a number of areas showing some secrets. One of the areas was the catch area for Tink's flight. They told us about what they have to do to get her to fly and a few funny behind the scenes things like a hook if she comes up short of the padded catch area. Can you imagine being her and being just short of the area and the guys teasing you to keep coming before they get the "hook"?
@@jordannnk I forgot who put it out but there is a video out there about the history of Tink at the Parks. And during the tour, they did tell us there is only Tinker Bells and no Tinker Bills. :) They also told us backstage how you can tell who is in what costume. The tall costumes, like Goofy, are guys. And Mickey is a female performer. That freaked someone out on our tour. :D
Tink also has to be incredibly strong because she’s required to pull herself hand-over-hand down the zip line if she gets stuck. The actor who plays Indy in the Indiana Jones stunt show also gets paid hazard pay per stunt.
Actually Disney did have plans to bring Haunted Mansion Holiday to the WDW. So much so that Tim Burton had toured the attraction. He even left nightmare before Christmas books laid out around the ride. You can only see them with the lights on, but they are there, I’ve seen them in person. The wallpaper in the stretching room is actually from the scrapped layover.
If Magic Kingdom gets a Haunted Mansion overlay like Disneyland, I hope it’s due from late November-early January. I don’t get why the Disney ride perfect for Halloween gets a Christmas overlay during Halloweentime in Disneyland.
I have a question. How do you find these kind of secrets? I know some of these are really obvious, but the little ones like secrets in dark rides. It just always suprised me how you find these out.
Most likely current cast members or former cast members learn a few secrets during their time working for Disney World or Disneyland. Everything is online now-a-days, so websites like reddit or twitter and even google have tons of information on little secrets.
@@TPMvids So I will say that I am guilty of not paying attention if there are any American Flags any where else in MK other than the ones mentioned here. If there are, it would be interesting to know if they are current flags or if they represent a certain period of American History. Like is there one outside of Hall of Presidents? Either way, this was a very cool little fact that was provided.
For #5, Disney’s Enchantment was actually canceled on us during our trip in August. It was raining for most of the night, and they kept announcing that it was only delayed. The rain kept going, and more people were leaving. We eventually got a spot right in front of the castle. However, even we had to give up and leave, but as we left, they announced the show was canceled. It was my husband’s first time in Disney World, and my first trip back in almost 20 years. We were excited to see the fireworks and Tinkerbell flying. 😞
I had a similar situation in August just gone. It was the last night we had at Disney and we were flying back home the following day, and we hadn’t had a chance to see the fireworks with a decent viewing spot, so we had to see them on that day. However, there was a big thunderstorm nearby that was getting closer to magic kingdom and me and my family has a great viewing spot where we had been for ages, so we hoped the show wouldn’t be cancelled. When it got to 9pm, the announcement was made that the show would be delayed. At this point, the lightning from the storm literally lit up the whole sky, and the rain was getting bad. We waited like another half hour and the show was still being delayed, so we decided to leave as we had to get up early the next morning. On the plus side, the cast members had to take people through a route down the back of Main Street where all the emergency service vehicles were, which was kinda cool.
Even if they cancel the fireworks show they will eventually light all the fireworks in very rapid order to get rid of them safely. It could happen at 1 AM, 4 AM, etc. They will fire them all off within about a minute instead of over 18 minutes.
I have a quick question, have u noticed that spaceship earth is changing? When me and my dad last rode the ride we and him noticed several things just seemed different or changed. Idk might just be us or us getting excited for Epcot’s future changes 😂
Spaceship Earth has been updated several times since it opened: The narration has changed at least four times with four different narrators, several animatronics have been updated to A100's, the descent at the end has been altered at least three times (The ''Tomorrow's Child' ending, the ending with the 'disco lighting' and Pepper's ghost effect scenes, and the current one with the screens.... which were added to the ride vehicles within the last 10 years), the original 'Network Map' when AT&T was the sponsor, the 'home office' and kid's bedroom scene were removed ages ago and replaced with more up-to-date scenes, plus smaller updates and alterations here and there.
Do you know how much money it takes to make, program, and maintain an animatronic, especially one meant to go on zip line? Pretty sure it’s substantial. Sure there could be many things that *could* go wrong when an actual person is up there, but the same *could* said about a robotic puppet. There’s also keeping the weight of the animatronic to the same as the person, *doubt* it’ll be easy at all.
My grandchild knows everything about your channel, and Disney. She has only been to Orlando but, she loves it! She went in 2022 and misses it. She can't wait to go back with all you little easter eggs! Today I asked her if you could live in any 5 places were would live? She replied, Florida, California, Paris, Tokyo, and Hong Kong. I said why, she replied, "Because a disney themepark is in each of those places!" We love you! Thank you TMPvids!
Smart girl. I'm 45 and went to University of Central Florida ( UCF) mostly bcuz of that same reasoning!❤😊 I also have family there. But even now at 45 with my own 2 kids grown if I had to move...same thing❤ I honestly have a retirement plan of being able to go to tokyo Disney and Disneysea
90 lbs!? holy moly. I haven't been 90 lbs since middle school! Even in highschool I was 120 lbs and a size 2. I hope tink is okay, or really short. I can't imagine it being healthy for anyone over 5 ft to be under 100 lbs.
My question isn’t why Prince Eric doesn’t carry Ariel down the steps at the end, but rather why isn’t Ariel just in her human form for fantasmic? I feel like it makes more sense safety wise all the way around, but the bagging of Ariel is a pretty funny tradition 😂
I was at animal kingdom last year. And I looked up at a tree cause I saw something very colorful in the corner of my eye.. it was a parrot from the bird show! A cast member came and took care of it. But in my 10 years of going to Disney world, I’ve never seen a “escaped” animal ever.
Thank you for giving Garner Host some credit! I didn’t know they made the animatronics until now, but I’m even more impressed than before. I hope they can make awesome animatronics for Universal as well, they are really lacking in terms of at least great animatronics.
Fun Fact: I'm a CEC Fan and I'm in the Fandom(short for Chuck E Cheese). Garner Holt Created the Studio C 16 and 32 Movement Animatronic for Studio C Beta and for The Alpha Stages...
"No animal has ever escaped." Incorrect! We had the luxury of being there for a preview before the official opening of Animal Kingdom. Back then, crested cranes were kept in DinoLand along with a few other animals and we came off of Countdown to Extinction to find one in the path. They told us she regularly escaped to look for her keeper. When the keeper came, she ran and leapt into his arms. A fun memory for us!
Also fun fact the tinker bell who flys above the castle is sometimes played by a guy. Not to mention that garner holt also designed the Chuck E Cheese animatronic on the studio C stages. Cec was the first big business the company worked with before Disney
I think some men *wouldn’t* mind crossdressing, but that level is asking too much. Also considering the weight limit, the men has got to be short and slim. Seeing as how most men could weigh more next to women of equal height, looking for men weighing 90 lbs or less may not be easy.
Former character costuming CM at MK, and I worked with Tink a good amount! I got to help her dress for flight, and you got it spot on! Costume wasn’t too heavy, but it was a bit finicky bc of wiring. Performers also have to meet upper body strength requirements as well, just in case they get stuck on the zip line, they can get themselves to the end on their own 😉
How tall is the actress portraying Tink? Some are wondering about her health, *if* she’s on the short side. Given most people haven’t been under 100 lbs since they were 12 years or younger, that may be a valid concern.
Can you please do a food video- on whats the best to wat at disneyland? I feel like that will be a good video option. Or like what to expect in December for Christmas :D
I once ate lunch in the castle at WDW. You had to make reservations at the front gate as you came in. Of course it was a limited number each day. So you needed to get there early to get a reservation.
I bet when the position for Tinker Bell opens up, there is a mad dash of tiny women rushing to the casting office. I mean, who wouldn't fight for a job that pays a full 8 hours plus hazard for only working about 2 hours a day.
I was gonna send a video of being stuck on peter pan, but after waiting for over 20 minutes in front of the jolly Rodger, the sent it moving and my dreams were crushed like a fly.
I was looking for a comment like this!! All the animatronics mentioned here are ones that I also see or hear mention of being frequently broken!! That's not to say that Disney's don't break, but..... maybe that's why they don't fix them??
@@testerwulf3357 Well, they can fix it, they just don't know how. They are likely hesitant to replace it because that would mean building a brand new animatronic, very expensive. Right now, the figure works just well enough to keep it.
The poor dog, watching his owners evolve to extinction, leaving him at a wasteland, like walls-e. Alone, rotting and losing movement. F in the chat for this dog still going.
Disney USED to create their animatronics, it was outsourced and ONLY the development is done in house. So that corporate disney can file the patents, butr save the labor costs of building them. Also, your piece about the flags is ALMOST correct, U.S. flag code allows flags to be flown at night. But only if they are properly lit and displayed. Walt chose to HONOR the flag at Disneyland by only displaying it during the daylight hours & to have that ceremony each day. He could have just put lights at the base to keep it up all day & night.
The haunted mansion fact is funny to me cuz the first time I went on the nightmare before christmas version was 2004! I even have the patch from then, still! We ate out of souvenir black dog bowls with a little zero on them, too. It's one thing I'll never forget.
Hi , TPM! I really like your videos!!! My mom is a cast member At magic kingdom !! So thanks to your videos and my moms job , I am Now an expert in Disney !!
You should do a video on Animatronics. Who made them , and when I would love to answer the following 1. What company made the animatronic? 2. Was it used in the world's fair? 3 At what park was it and from when to when? 4. What ones got repurposed? 5. Where is each one now? 6. what ones got in use the longest? 7. What was the 1st to use each new technology upgrade? 8. What shows actually use live performers? 9, What figures are actually not technically Animatronic? 10. What is the future of rides and shows? is it AR? 3D? Drones? What will replace the Animatronic?
Imagine if a different Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay that’s based on Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol would come to the Magic Kingdom’s Haunted Mansion!
No it's likely for a guy to play Tink but a female is more likely tbh; Tinker Bell needs to be approximately between 4'11" and 5'2" (short, she's meant to be a fairy which are small after all lol), and petite (roughly under 100, especially for the flying stunt!). The first ever Tink to play the role and fly over the sky was a woman :] However For the flying stunt (as far as I can find The Tinks who wander the park and interact with guests are indeed female) a "Tinker Bill" may take the stage sometimes lol, saying "always" is a stretch and a lie as the first ones were female and if a female qualifies she can also do the flying stunt! If one of the people who cast Tink are naturally blond they're actually not allowed to show up around the parks with their hair in a bun (it'd break the magic, Disney is just strict like that). I know there's a former Tinkerbell cast-member you can find on tiktok, she'd talk about her experiences and what got popular was her explaining that married men would hand her the key to their hotels..it was so popular you can find it on some news sites or other sites online
At 7:23, the dog, there's a dog that looks almost exactly the same at a record shop in Old Town Orange, California! It looked familiar, so I went to Google Maps and found it in the window from street view!
Great video! Maybe it's just me, but your voice was sounding a little strained in a few places? I hope you're feeling ok! Thanks for sharing the theme park magic with us!
On the topic of fireworks, according to fellow RUclipsr "The Fat Electrician", Disney Corporation places second on the list of the world's largest purchasers of "explosive ordnance". "Well, who ranks first?", you ask? Glad you did. It's the United States Armed Forces. That's right, Disney is second place ONLY to the United States Military in terms of explosives use. So, next time you talk about The House of Mouse, put some respect on it.
Did he say Tinkerbell travels for 30 Mi on a zipline. Just want to verify that because the Park's 43 me across. That means she would travel the distance of the entire park almost on a zipline. Is there any way someone can verify please I'm curious.
Honestly, I wish I could play Tinker Bell's role, not just for the money but the glowing costume and being surrounded by fireworks while ziplining sounds magical. But there's no way in heck I could ever weigh 95 pounds and I highly doubt they'd allow trans people to play their characters lol. 😅 I'm sure it would have been too hard anyway. 🤣
Space Mountain Post Show. I was on the opening crew in January 1975. At the end of the moving ramp in the post show there are three televisiosn, or were I have no idea today 2/4/2023, the guests could see themselves. Well what they did not know that in the cast mamber breakroom way in the back of "The Mountain," there was a television set that showed what was on the post show televisions. Without fail when guests were alone, say at near closing time, many single people or couples seemed to enjoy pulling their shirts up or shorts down and lets just say it was often a class in ANATOMY. All men and women are not created equal.
Mmmm Tinkerbell. I remember seeing her when I was a kid and going, "yup, I'm straight." Except the world wasn't the clown show it is today so i had no concept of straight but you get the gist. My first s#xual thought was Tink.
In the first ficts gave me a question. In the safari ride, how do the animals not attack the vehicle. Like I know with each individual animal, they can't build individual security things, and zebras literally run in front of the car a lot, so what keeps them from attacking?
I Want to C. Disney Easter eggs so I looked it up in the phone It's It's What is on your channel A video of Runaway railway Easter eggs and From this day on I really like your channel
The information on the flag is really interesting but the flag display rules now say that you can leave the flag up 24 hours a day as long as it has lighting on it.
Whoever is Tinkerbell both in the thumbnail and in the video looks great, and as live version in the real world goes, she’s the definitive one, *not* the modern reimagined one.

@@Nimeariel sort of strange
I don't get why they don't just replace it with one they legally own and could fix?
@@testerwulf3357 Well, they can fix it, they just don't know how. They are likely hesitant to replace it because that would mean building a brand new animatronic, very expensive. Right now, the figure works just well enough to keep it.
Yayyyy! I love a TPM upload!!
Hi I’m a fan and I like your vids are you ever going to doa face revel
More Disneyland videos please. ❤️
Love this video! Never even noticed about the “Bagging Fish”! Thanks for this amazing video

My favorite secret was that Buzzy remained intact for 29 years at Epcot. #FindBuzzy
I live in Queensland and Australia so I can watch videos from RUclips channels ok
The poor dog, watching his owners evolve to extinction, leaving him at a wasteland, like walls-e. Alone, rotting and losing movement. F in the chat for this dog still going.
Could you give me a good ride? I’m at Disneyland right now with my friends and we are stumped on what to go to!
You do not know how much I'm excited when you post its so much fun to watch your videos.
My mom is a cast member
At magic kingdom !! So thanks to your videos and my moms job , I am
Now an expert in Disney !!
can you do disney cruise videos
Your videos teach me so much I didn’t know about Disney and made me really want to go there!
I agree with you 💯!
You should do a video on Animatronics. Who made them , and when
I would love to answer the following
Hey, Does TPM stand for anything?
Love your vid tpm keep it up.
And what’s your fav ride at Walt Disney TPM
Imagine if a different Haunted Mansion Holiday overlay that’s based on Charles Dickens’ A Christmas Carol would come to the Magic Kingdom’s Haunted Mansion!
That would have worked... in 2009.
Fun fact: The person who plays Tinker Bell is always a dude believe it or not.
No it's likely for a guy to play Tink but a female is more likely tbh; Tinker Bell needs to be approximately between 4'11" and 5'2" (short, she's meant to be a fairy which are small after all lol), and petite (roughly under 100, especially for the flying stunt!).
The first ever Tink to play the role and fly over the sky was a woman :]
However For the flying stunt (as far as I can find The Tinks who wander the park and interact with guests are indeed female) a "Tinker Bill" may take the stage sometimes lol, saying "always" is a stretch and a lie as the first ones were female and if a female qualifies she can also do the flying stunt!
5 more days until the big mouses 94th birthday
I have been watching this channel for over 4 years! I love this channel and it always makes me feel better!😁
Fun fact: I went to garner Holt productions for a field trip in 3rd grade and they make lots of Disney animatronics!
At 7:23, the dog, there's a dog that looks almost exactly the same at a record shop in Old Town Orange, California! It looked familiar, so I went to Google Maps and found it in the window from street view!
50 million dollars a year is insane
Hope you have a good day TPM ❤
I love watching this channel defined out facts about Walt Disney World and Disneyland. I’m going on Wednesday
I love how since the character is female, he referred to Tink as "she". We have seen Tink played by a man with a beard before.
Great video! Maybe it's just me, but your voice was sounding a little strained in a few places? I hope you're feeling ok! Thanks for sharing the theme park magic with us!
Hi
Hi,TPM! I love your videos.I have been to Disney with my dance place.the whole dancing people went to Disney ,whith me ofc lol 😜
The "welcome to TPMvids Disney beat" never gets old keep it up !!!
i love these vids so much.
Hi
Love these videos me and my boyfriend have just got back from WDW and I am definitely having post Disney blues! 😂
Fun fact: Nipper the dog is the logo for UK-retailer HMV
Здрасте, я чото почти ничё не пон
Space Mountain Post Show. I was on the opening crew in January 1975. At the end of the moving ramp in the post show there are three televisiosn, or were I have no idea today 2/4/2023, the guests could see themselves. Well what they did not know that in the cast mamber breakroom way in the back of "The Mountain," there was a television set that showed what was on the post show televisions. Without fail when guests were alone, say at near closing time, many single people or couples seemed to enjoy pulling their shirts up or shorts down and lets just say it was often a class in ANATOMY. All men and women are not created equal.
He has returned
Mmmm Tinkerbell. I remember seeing her when I was a kid and going, "yup, I'm straight." Except the world wasn't the clown show it is today so i had no concept of straight but you get the gist. My first s#xual thought was Tink.
I love Disney secrets plus I just went to Disney world this summer 2022 so got to see some Disney secret s
Thanks for these videos!
I had something to add to the US flag information. The US flag can be flown at night if it's appropriately lit.
95 pounds?! That's insane. How much of a diet would you need to be on to fit that role I cant imagine not being over 120.
In the first ficts gave me a question. In the safari ride, how do the animals not attack the vehicle. Like I know with each individual animal, they can't build individual security things, and zebras literally run in front of the car a lot, so what keeps them from attacking?
Walt Disney World should add a tribute to the very first Disney parade.
I Want to C. Disney Easter eggs so I looked it up in the phone It's It's What is on your channel A video of Runaway railway Easter eggs and From this day on I really like your channel
Ok tpm me and my siblings always have this argument did space mountain use to have a self moving walking floor on the way out?

Hey, TPM! really nice to see you well I'm not really seeing you but uh its good to uhh text you I guess? Jot really sure. 😂🤔
I’m going to Disney in January so I’ll look for these
I've always wanted to be tinkerbell.
Fun fact: Ariel at Walt Disney earns $60,853 dollars per year! Which is a *a lot*
Noice
The information on the flag is really interesting but the flag display rules now say that you can leave the flag up 24 hours a day as long as it has lighting on it.
Whoever is Tinkerbell both in the thumbnail and in the video looks great, and as live version in the real world goes, she’s the definitive one, *not* the modern reimagined one.
Dosneys birthday was on 1901, So i believe that 1901 was when Main Street took place
The Flags having 45 stars is most likely an homage to Walts Boyhood as he was born in 1901
Would be something else if a bunch of chimps broke free, try to restore their own order to animal kingdom.
You’ve got this him, Mickey at the fireworks at of the castle, so the fireworks make a hidden Mickey
