Thr burp cloths are a great idea !!! My daughter is having twins in a few months …. Thanks to your tutorial I’m going to make her some!!!! Thank you so much !!!
Oh congratulations!! 🥳👶👶 That would be a sweet gift for the shower. I also like making them with a soft jersey knit on one side and a terry cloth/towel on the other side. It's a little softer than the cloth diapers! 🤗
What a great tutorial! And beautiful burp cloths! You did the best job with a tutorial I've seen so far, you are a natural! You were very informative, yet not overly talky, sticking only to the sewing process and making it easy and clear to understand! You make it look so easy! Thank you! I will be making these!
They look so cute! Thank you for being fast and easy to follow! :) My diapers are arriving today and I just bought a bunch of fonts last night so I'm excited to get going!
Thanks Dione! I have an Etsy seller make them for me; it's easier than designing my own. 😁 Here's their link in case you need a custom embroidery file monogram! www.etsy.com/listing/512511030/custom-monograms-3-sizes-for-embroidery
Hello, I really like your ideas. I ask you what gauche to make the embroidery you use I have a brother se600 machine and the one that brought you I can not tighten the baby's fabric
Hi! So the monogram is called vine, from this Etsy font pack: www.etsy.com/listing/842925747/embroidery-monogram-designs-bundle-6 The other 2 are the standard font that came with my sewing machine. I don't know that it has a name! 🤗
Super cute! What laundering tips do you give the new mother for these burp cloths? I wouldn't think you could use bleach for stains as it would discolor the embroidery design and perhaps the flannel.
@@michellefrench8087 I didn't! The trim pieces I chose covered the raw edge without me needing to turn them down and sew them first 🤗 But if your raw edge shows, you can definitely turn under and sew before attaching the trim!
Hi! This particular model (the SE400) is outdated, but they now make the Brother SE600. It's on Amazon right now for $579. They also make a model that's slightly cheaper, the PE535 for $500. I feel like they weren't so expensive when I bought mine! 🙈
Where did you buy your paisley flannel from? Any wholesale suggestions or cheaper then Joann Fabrics? What type of seam did you use on the leave trim & pom poms? What size needle did you use to sew diaper & flannel together? What button did you push for type of weave fabric? Light weave, medium weave or What button? Did your machine cut Embroidery threads in between each (cursive) letter or not? What's the name of Font you used on the 3 letter burp cloth? Please I love this I loved your video they are beautiful thankyou so much
Hi Kim! I'll try to answer in order: 😊 1. I got the fabric from Joann! 2. I used a regular straight stitch on this trim. 3. I don't know the needle size offhand; I bought a pack of universal needles and used what was there. 🙈 4. I didn't press any particular button to denote the type of fabric I was working with. Just turned the machine on and started sewing! 5. The machine does not cut the embroidery threads in between each letter you have to do that manually once it's all done stitching. 6. The font is called Vine monogram, and I purchased it from etsy! Thanks for watching! ❤️
Hi Roxana! Thank you so much! 🤗 I use sulky stabilizer (both tear away and stitch in, depending on what I'm making)... And the glue is Elmer's multi-purpose spray adhesive! It does get sticky, so I try to use it sparingly. 😁
Thank you so much! Any cloth diaper size will work - they vary just a little between brands. I would pick up whatever pack you find, and then cut your decorative fabric to fit it! 🤗 Good luck!

@@aliciaburnett2473 so I usually go through Etsy to download font files! I did a RUclips video on this process for monogramming; I think it will help! ruclips.net/video/2jPQA1HuT0M/видео.html the embroidery section begins at 22.58
I noticed the back of your monogram is the same color as the front. I’ve only used the white. Is there a trick to make the back look as good as the front?
I always try to match my threads in case the tension is off and the bobbin thread shows through a little, but I don't think it matters too much! 😊 and there isn't a way that I know of to make the back look as pretty.. if you look at any embroidered piece of clothing, even professionally done, it looks this way on the back. 🤷🏻♀️😊
Hi Denise! I made another video showing the steps for monogramming that I think will help - check it out here! ruclips.net/video/2jPQA1HuT0M/видео.html
I absolutely love your designs. You're very talented, I love the design with the letter and then the name. I have a brother, where did you go to get the letters? I know you download from computer, but what site? Thanks in advance. I'm new at the monograms, I've only completed one project with an Moose design. Thanks again.
Hi Felicia! Oh that's so kind, thank you! 😁 So I did make a more detailed video specifically for monograms, because there are a couple different ways to get the design files. You can order a custom monogram file from Etsy and download to your machine, or you can buy a font (also from Etsy) which is a series of files, and then upload the 3 files you'd need for a monogram to your machine. Here is the link to the video that goes into more detail - the embroidery tutorial starts at the 8:48 timestamp I believe. 😁 ruclips.net/video/2jPQA1HuT0M/видео.html
Absolutely! I try to link anything I purchase in the description box below the video, but here's the link. :) amzn.to/2DKl341 They're a thinner quality which makes them easier to hoop, but if you're looking for something thicker you might want to go with a more premium burp cloth. Good Luck! :)

Her name is Harper MacEvelyn Westbrook. So HWM. This is my friends machine and we have worked and read for 2 hours now. Lol
@@melissaturner5178 aww! That's great you have the burp cloth done!! So for monograms, you either have to use a design software to create the monogram (which I don't have!) Or you can purchase it from Etsy. Through Etsy, there are 2 ways to get a monogram: the first (and easiest) is to search for a seller who will make you a custom .PES file with your monogram in it. You then load it to the machine and it will stitch automatically. Here's a seller that is cheap! www.etsy.com/listing/644258129/4size-interlocking-monogram-3-letters The second way to do it (which will help if you are doing multiple monogram projects), is to buy the font files and put the monogram together yourself. The seller will send a folder with different sizes of each letter in the alphabet, and you would stitch each initial separately. I've done this successfully, but it's a little tricky since you have to position each letter separately. Let me know if you want a video on how to embroider a monogram using either method, and I'll make one! 😁
Marissa Explains It All that helps somewhat. Would probably help a lot...IF I wasn’t so technically challenged. I do own a Silhouette Cameo that I can made monograms in. Just not sure how to get it into the embroidery machine. Videos are always helpful. Thank you for taking time to reply
@@melissaturner5178 No problem! 😊 Totally understand... It's not easy with some of these machines to pick it up and figure it out! So the Silhouette Cameo is only used to cut materials like vinyl and paper, and can't be used with a sewing/embroidery machine. You would use that if you wanted to create a monogram and iron it on with heat transfer vinyl. The sewing/embroidery machine when hooked up to your computer only takes certain file types (.PES and .DST) that are created from a separate embroidery creation software. That software is different from Silhouette Studio, and is kinda hard to learn. That's why I leave it to the professionals and just buy my embroidery files from Etsy if I'm going to stitch a monogram. I'll shoot a video showing how to create a monogram out of Vinyl with your Silhouette, and also how to do it with the sewing machine so you can see all the options! 😁
