Gorilla born in Prague zoo

(24 Apr 2016) Visitors got their first glimpse of a baby gorilla on Sunday whose unexpected birth the day before took everyone at Prague zoo by surprise.
Nobody had noticed that it's mother, 24-year-old Shinda, was pregnant.
Having already had a number of miscarriages and being a little overweight, Shinda was expected to remain childless.
But her delivery went smoothly on Saturday, according to Miroslav Bobek, Director of Prague Zoo.
Both mother and the newborn have been doing well, Bobek said and visitors were allowed to see them on Sunday.
The gorillas at the Prague zoo are among the most popular animals there. Tens of thousands of people watched a birth of another gorilla online in 2007.
