I'd done mine with 10 plants...few types of Snake plants/Few types of Potos/Spider Plant/Japanese Bamboo etc...some from baby plants/Cuttings... growing very healthy, fast and bushy...so happy for me...simply love them in Lecca...
well explained. icould we use hydro phonic cups to fill the clay balls n use another transparent pet bottle to hold water and keep filling it as and when required. nstead of disturbing the plant every two weeks for changing water.
Im wondering about the roots sitting in water I have a couple ZZ cuttings and four leaves Im propagating in water and I want to transfer to LECA. Im intimidated a bit
I currently have my Peace Lily plants in leca. They are healthy and thriving in their new home. I also have my asparagus ferns and anthurium's too in leca.🌱🌴🌿 They are all doing great in leca.
Interesting. Im wondering about the roots sitting in water I heard the balls should be wet not and the roots should be above the water What do you think about that?
@@domonicka.holloway6041 In my experience, as long as the roots touch the water, they start expanding very quickly. So you don't want to immerse the roots fully, just 1cm in the water. If you immerse too much, increase the risk of rotting. But the best is to experiment with many plants simultaneously. I also take photos every 3 days and compare, that is very useful. Also remember there are no guarantees, sometimes it fails. Always try with many plants, if possible. I am not good in determining how (and if) to change the water, for example. Sometimes they rot after a water change, sometimes they thrive after a whole week with rhe same water. ...

I don't think it is good for the roots to see light. Perhaps cover the whole thing with aluminum foil ?
