There's nothing more terrifying for someone to come home just to see that their door is knocked open, but everything inside is just the same.
The psychological torture of knowing that your house has been accessible to someone and that they might have fiddled with something or are still in the house is extremely traumatizing for any person, I imagine this stuff could lead to someone even selling their house, as they have had the safety or just privacy of their home nullified.
True. If your house gets broken into without anything stolen, what does that tell you? "I'm not here for your property, I'm here for you"? That's a really fucked up idea to put in someone's head.

A few years ago there was a combat veteran in South Carolina that put a sign in his front yard asking people to not approach his house as he still had issues from war. Teenagers doing borderline criminal acts is not a new thing. It's not TikTok's fault. In fact the only difference is that now we have social media to see.
I had friends do things that would take any adult to a precinct. But their age turned the situation into a "boys gonna be boys" thing.

I am currently a teen, and personally I try to stay away from the absolute idiocy that is tiktok, someone I know, and to be clear I have no idea why she even talks to me and tells me all her problems like we’re best friends, I barely know her. She randomly said to me “A famous tiktokker just added me” I respond with that tiktok is mostly filled with morons and she said “well you can actually learn new things there” ah yes learning how to chug two bottles of medicine for views and ending up in the ER. I shouldn’t be surprised but The fact that tiktokkers are getting increasingly dumber by the day scares me
You actually can learn some stuff on there. While it's mostly shit, there are educational tiktok accounts. That being said, there are better ways to find educational entertainment. I'm not a user myself, but the shorts carry over onto youtube sometimes.

Having your car window broken is not "just an inconvenience". You have to pay for the repairs, take time off work to get the car to the glass shop, maybe deal with police filling out a report (which you have to if you make an insurance claim). But the dumb part is WHERE we did it. It was a street which served as a sort of highway exit. We could have been killed, due to the curve & speed of cars. Trouble is, that never was the case. Dumb kids doing dumb things would be egged on by their peers all the time. Difference is now it's total strangers egging them on and the whole world that can watch. The only people that ever were getting shamed and embarrassed were the kids who *weren't* doing stupid crap all the time because they were seen as losers. Peer pressure and social bullying almost never improves behaviors. Quite the opposite...

@@FranNyan you hit the nail on the head, honestly the amount of things being turned into "normal" by alot of people makes me really hate people in general, like the normalization of sex and pornography amongst children (or even of children unfortunately) because of being pressured into it or the normalization of drugs and alcohol usage or just addiction in general because of the pressure of alot of people to do it, or even just the pressure to do what "everyone" is doing in general, all of these things that people keep deeming as "normal" through saying "everybody does it" or something like "your a nobody if you dont" are some of the most unnatural, unusual, and disgusting shit ive ever seen, i really do hope that humanity as a whole can get a damn grip on itself again eventually but until then things like this will probably just keep spiraling out of control
