First, dios power duration is limited and he has a cooldown period. Also ... Dio has no tool to keep alucard dead. You literally need extremely powerful holy weapons to reduce alucards soul level. If you dont have that, he will literally always recover from death just by reassembling his body from blood drops. On the other hand, alucards undead army and his familiars cand devour dio and he wont have any defense against that. The most dio has is partial regeneration. But nothing against occult magic.
