  • We take a look at the front forks, have a look at some of the abilities of the EasyControl and then move some soil. The JCB Backhoe is one of the better machines on the market currently and its easy to see why.

    Nice filmed angle there outside, sounds pretty nice and quiet in the cab really considering how messy and muddy it is outside there. Been so busy here making compost and working so have not been on much lately

      To be honest Lambert, I have been kind of answering the questions in my vids as I go along to demonstrate what people have been asking.
      I'm happy to do a dedicated Q&A if people want however.

    Is that why JCB moved the forks from outside the loader arms, to the center position?
    They are preset at Euro Pallet width?

    • @LordMuck
      @LordMuck  7 лет назад

      Nigel, the forks still slide across to varying widths from narrow to wide but I think it also helps with vision being in that locked away position rather than out wide.

    Hey, I've always wanted to operator backhoes and excavators since I was young. I've had a few hours of experience on backhoes at diggerland. What CITB/CPCS do I need and I do get to be a licensed backhoe operator?

    • @LordMuck
      @LordMuck  7 лет назад +2

      Go back to Diggerland and get it all out of your system. Then come home and find a job that is 9-5, indoors and with a good pension and health plan.
      F*ck the ol' diggers.

    Still not convinced over that easy control you know, Stringing out concrete for kerbs and stuff. Lean over the back of the seat pick up a bucket full of concrete slew round I always had the bucket on the right hand side of the machine, Then you could position your bucket behind the string line and drive slowly forwards as well as shaking the bucket of concrete out. I suppose you can still do it but that bloody buzzer would be found and got rid of. But at least with sticks you can still move the front end as well as the back actor as well.

    • @LordMuck
      @LordMuck  7 лет назад +1

      Yep - I think the EasyControl would suit us but I'm not convinced that it's advantages over standard sticks is that great because I can't see any way of walking the machine out of a hole...
      However, it's better than that poxy 'X' pattern that JCB have stuck with.

    • @WilliamStevens007
      @WilliamStevens007 7 лет назад +1

      Thats a very good point I think. All I have ever operated is the x pattern, Used a few cats with servo's but never a Jake. But I am done with machines now as I have my class 2 LGV.

    Why do the back actor always be working from a clamped position of the right hand side of the JCB’s ?

    • @LordMuck
      @LordMuck  4 года назад

      Its so you can see clearly what you're doing rather than being blocked by the arm.
      if you want to work from a central position you simply release the hydra-clamp and move the arm across.

    • @BMCC1980
      @BMCC1980 4 года назад

      Lord Muck yeah I get the reason for moving to the side, I was just wondering why always to the right side... so rare seen working on the left.

    • @LordMuck
      @LordMuck  4 года назад +1

      I assume it's like a habit - 360's having the boom to the right so you look down the left of the arm.
