    Hello Gabrielle
I have a couple of doubts
    1) while doing our MTI can we simultaneously do our PLAB and if we complete our PLAB both parts by the end of MTI so can we stay back in UK ???

You guys are awesome for giving so much for free.
Pardon me if its a stupid question. Beginner here. Do I apply for a job first via NHS jobs or do I first request RCP for the video interview and COS? In the NHS jobs website, they require GMC for most jobs, which supposedly comes after the COS is offered. Also in the RCP website, they ask for the job details. Very confusing for a beginner. thanks

Hello. You first need to apply for sponsorship via RCP and then you can apply for MTI posts if you've got the sponsorship letter. If the RCP are asking for sponsorship details, it's because they're assuming you've already sourced a post pre-applying for Sponsorship

Sir I'm wondering about the leave under MTI scheme.... Cos I'd love to see places around on vacation...

MTI doctors should enjoy the same amount of annual leave and study leave days (minimum 10 days) as UK trainees. Please bear in mind however that the study leave budget would come from your Trust.

Hello sir, at first thanks for those wonderful videos. They really help us (IMGs) to clear our confusions regarding the relocation process. I have a question. I’m an Indian medical graduate with an MD in Anaesthesia. I’m planning to take the primary FRCA exam and I’m very much keen to enter in the training system. I want to know, will it be helpful for me to get a training post if I apply for an MTI post after my FRCA (as I’ll expose to the UK health system through the MTI).
And another question, is there any age restriction to get the training post in NHS?
    Thanks in advance

      Hello Dr Das,
Thank you for your feedback, it is much appreciated!
You will simply need a pass in IELTS/OET to evidence your English language skills to apply for the MTI Scheme. You can then obtain FRCA once you are in the UK. You should note, that on the MTI Scheme you are legally required to leave the UK at the end of the two years.
If you do not want to do the MTI route, you could obtain EDAIC to evidence your specialist knowledge and skills. This will allow you to work at ST3+ level and not required to leave the UK.
There is not an age restriction for any NHS job, training or non-training.
      All the best,
      Gabrielle

Hello. Unfortunately agencies, such as BDI Resourcing, are unable to advise or help with MTI applications. The MTI Scheme must be applied for directly to the individual royal colleges. Hello,
I am an Indian Medical Graduate with an MD Internal Medicine. I am looking to undergo training under the MTI while writing my MRCP exams. My questions is - Am I eligible for the training program if I have 1 year of clinical experience as an intern post-undergraduation + 1 year of postqualification (post MD) experience or am I required to have 3 years of postqualification (post MD) experience?
    Thank you.

      Hello Dr Basu,
You are eligible for the MTI Scheme.
You will need to pass IELTS/OET first and then apply for posts directly via NHS jobs and explain you are looking for MTI sponsorship.

Hello sir, is there any specific time period for MTI Applications or it is throughout the year?

      Hello Dr Joshi,
      Thank you for your message.
MTI posts are open throughout the entire year. However, some Royal College temporarily close them if they have received a high volume of applications.
      Kindest regards,
      Gabrielle

      @@guitarstethoscope7340 Hello Dr Joshi,
Unfortunately, recruitment agencies cannot help with MTI Scheme posts. You will need to apply directly via the RCP and NHS jobs.

Funny how you subtitle the doctor who speaks perfect English but don’t subtitle the other guy. Well done !

      Hello Dr Singh,
In fact, we subtitle every single one of our videos and we are native English speakers.
We did not subtitle Daniel the interviewer in this video because he did not say much other than ask questions which are titled at the top of the screen and we want all the focus to be on Dr Ray.
      Kindest regards,
      Gabrielle
