Introducing the Clicker to a Goldendoodle Puppy // Puppy Training Tips

Don't wait to start training your puppy. As soon as you get your puppy home, you should start some kind of training program. The problem with some training efforts, is that new puppies (8 to 12 weeks) are not ready for any kind of discipline. Everything you do with puppies at this stage is positive and upbeat.
Even though your puppy is not ready for long, boring training sessions, you can set yourself up for incredible success if you prepare your puppy with proper clicker introduction -- or what some people call "charging the clicker" -- at a very early stage. I think you can do this at any point in a puppy's development as long as the clicker does not startle or scare your puppy.

Did that include when they are eating a bowl of food? Or simply treat

Yes. You can do it while they are eating their meals as well.
