  • In this video I give an overview of the Telecaster guitar project I'm working on. It involves a Fender Road Worn Telecaster body and a custom Musikraft neck.

    I know this is an old video but I got a tip for you when it comes to wanting to see how your amber tint will turn out on your guitar before you spray it. Get some clear acetate sheets and you can test spray your colors on that and hold it against your neck to see how the color will look over it and how many coats it might take to reach the color you want. I use that a lot on woods I'm sure how the tint is going to look on it before spraying it down. Helps dial in the amount of coats needed so I don't overdo it.

    Hey Nathan, do you know approximately how much the body weigh unloaded and/or fully assembled? I have a 4.8 Tele body thay I'm trying to gauge how much it would weigh assembled.

      Here’s the breakdown on this guitar. See also @8:39 in the video
      82.4 oz body
      18.6 oz neck
      5.6 oz tuners
      106.6 oz TOTAL = 6.663 lbs

      @@NathanSink Thanks, you got real nice light body, mine is 4.8 lbs already unloaded. Do you notice any neck dive when it is that light?

    • @NathanSink
      @NathanSink  Год назад +1

      @@apakabarteman18 no neck dive. 👍🏻

    Was the nut precut? Did you have to make any adjustments?

    • @NathanSink
      @NathanSink  4 года назад

      Wally W the nut was great. I don't think I had to do anything to this neck. My previous musikraft neck needed a tiny bit of fret touch-up. Here's the video I made on the neck: ruclips.net/video/1jsnr2RpObk/видео.html

      No, I went over those in Tried & True Oil (linseed oil). Here’s a playlist of all the videos I made about the Strat: ruclips.net/p/PLT0llhi52k8pfgZILIgbDUVNXc24g5T1E

    Road worn is one piece body?

    • @NathanSink
      @NathanSink  4 года назад +1

      Dede Curn not sure. I highly doubt it though, since they are made in Mexico & aren't very expensive. That's normally a "luxury" feature.

    How is this going?

    • @NathanSink
      @NathanSink  5 лет назад

      Ivan Del thanks for asking. Almost finished with everything. Except...😞 sad to say, I screwed up drilling the holes in the neck the first time. Just didn't get the proper alignment. 😖 So now I'm in the process of plugging & re-drilling the holes. Then I'll get around to editing & uploading the videos. 👍🏻
