Your videos are amazing... What books or other resources would you recommend. Something at this level of sophistication... I have a fairly good understanding of all of the basics but most books i see just tries to reestablish the stuff ive already learned.

What is the point of this complicated current source if there are simpler solutions? What are the roles of R2 and R3? The example of the first pair of BJT transistors, with one of them having 4 collectors, that could be purchased?
Thanks for watching & your questions. This circuit is resembling a simplified example of current source scheme inside the integrated circuits for say an operational amplifier. As explained in the video, R2 resistor sets the absolute value of Gate voltage of JFET. The R3 resistor is representing the current sampling or monitoring element inside the chip (as briefly mentioned in the video). I hope this explanation is helpful. Sorry but you are totally wrong! The emitter current on the second PNP transistor is not 1mA but is 4mA. It is a simple current mirror with 4 output transistor. Each collector should have the same current as the first transistor, so 1mA. 😀
