I am starting work in hospital as an ER/ICU GP. I asked my senior for resources for ABGs and ventilators and he just said "Strong Medicine". At first I was sceptical but dear Lord your Sir are a medical faculty on your own. Such depth and nuances that is rarely touched upon by most educators. A remarkable delivery of remarkable material. I am forever grateful and inspired by you. And I hope you smile every time you see our positive comments and heartfelt gratitude.
Tbh is is what makes me skeptical cuz not all doctors are the same and might not mention or know some things that they should do than the other doc. Different doctors
So lucky I discovered this video. Although still a first-year clerk, I am so much better at interpreting chest X ray than my classmates simply by watching these videos.
MUCHAS GRACIAS DR ERIC, POR COMPARTIR SUS CONOCIMIENTOS Y HABILIDADES CON EL PERSONAL DE SALUD DE TODO EL MUNDO... UN CURSO FANTASTICO SOBRE LA INTERPRETACION DE RAYOS X DE TORAX
Thank you Thank you Thank you Doctor for these videos. I started off watching different videos but since I found yours I decided to settle on them. Now I can say I learned to read X-ray Using your content. I will use your videos for every other medical topics that I have to study.
Thanksso much Dr Eric. You are right, we are waiting for the rest of your video, Tks again for your kindness to share nice knowledge for us. Have a good day!
Dr.Eric, thak you for allll your lecture.. It's very most useful to me and doc exactly. Thank you.! your lecture quality is so high..Thank you thank you.
These are fantastic videos and very helpful for finals revision. Just curious as to wether these videos are available as slides to make it easier to revisit certain topics.
+Hassan Farooq I'm sorry. The X-ray videos are not available as slides due to how they were produced (i.e. directly in Premiere Pro, without use of PowerPoint).
Patchy opacity in the right infrahilar region with ill-defined pulmonary vasculature. Finding may represent focus of atelectasis or in the right clinical setting, developing consolidation. I have no idea what this means ?
Can anyone explain please what is the meaning of LMZ opacity?? - (That result is from my recent X-ray) I have told to do sputum by next week... Your answer will be appreciated... Thank you so much.
+x1cool1x I'm sorry you are having problems with resolution. It was uploaded in 1080p, and it's currently able to play at 1080p on my computer (through RUclips). Could it be a temporary problem with your connectivity? When you click on the gear in the lower right corner of the player, what is the highest quality choice listed?
Hi I'm dya I hv done PFT it shown a mild Restriction and xray according to IM (internal medicine) it's normal but for me it was funny report because Im having mild Restriction ...dear sir my question is how the features lung capacity those having mild Restriction how is looks like dya from Saudi thanks you so much .awaiting you reply sir
Yes. Part 8 will be out very soon (tomorrow maybe?). I'm just having trouble locating the last few examples to include (e.g. pulmonary infarction, septic emboli). Part 9 will prob be along a week later.
At the end of the lecture you stated that air bronchograms were due to non-cardiogenic edema. My notes from radiology lectures have the three stages of cardiogenic pulmonary signs on CXR, and differentiate them based on PCWP.Stage 1 = 13-18Stage 2 = 18-25Stage 3 = > 25 We are supposed to be able to predict the degree of heart failure from radiograph findings (e.g. Stage 1 with broadened vascular pedicle and cardiomegaly). The notes I have say to expect air bronchograms after late stage 2. Obviously I'm asking Bc your summary was somewhat in contrast with lecture, and the radiologist didn't go into cardiogenic vs non- when talking about this....So, do these stages (when compared with CXR) have any predictive value when combined with other findings, such as kerly lines, etc, or is this something I should completely purge from memory after exams? To be more clear, I'm asking if it's truly possible to predict a PCWP from CXR findings?
I'm very sorry, but for many reasons, I can't offer individualized medical advice on this channel. I recommend discussing your concerns with your physician.
does anyone here have an idea what does LURTS means? bcoz the clinic told me to repeat my x-ray... i have no idea why? they didnt told me. im just confused'.. :(
LURTS is not a common, standardized medical acronym with which I'm familiar. LURT is rarely used to mean "living unrelated transplant" (i.e. a friend donated you a kidney), but unless that clearly applies to you, the acronym may be something idiosyncratic used just by your doctor's office.
Eric's Medical Lectures im sorry.. i was just not clear about my xray doc. im refering to my chest xray? is this LURTS still not a common medical acronym. base on what they saw in my chest x-ray.. thanks..
Sorry, just seeing this question now...my sources are primarily a combination of radiopaedia.org, Field Guide to the Chest X-ray, Chest Radiology - The Essentials, UpToDate, personal experience, and primary papers on specific findings when there is insufficient info in the preceding.
Errata: @14:10, meant to say "nodules under 2mm" not "nodules under 2cm", though it's probably best not to overrely on highly precise cutoffs.
I can't differentiate between reticular vs nodular x ray
What about nodules between 2mm and 2cm?

He said that air bronchogram occurs more commonly in noncardiogenic pulmonary oedema, not that it cannot be caused by cardiogenic pulmonary oedema.
