It seems as though in Europe there isn't any real benefit to using the case (it seems the case enables an increased temperature shutoff on north american models (which is even higher than the high setting on the camera), but in europe that increased temperature is not allowed, my camera doesn't even let me select the "high" setting for recording temperature)
It does protect it from scratches and light drops but it’s still a flawed case that they made for a cheap a possible to fix their original heat issue
You are 100% right bro. I got my case today and noticed straight away why the case wasn't a snug fit, thought it was odd. So so disappointing of DJI. I still don't know how it passed quality control. The camera without the case literally burns your hands recording in 4K60P. Enbarrasing. I'm also considering selling it. Man, I should've just got a gopro10 instead.

Hi! Yesterday arrived my action 2 from ebay without the case, i contacted dji to claim the case but said that it is only for site clients and that i should contact with the seller... Any ideas?? Thanks!👍🙂
It’s for the first party buyer so technically you would have to contact the original buyer. I doubt they will put the time and effort into ordering the case, and shipping it out to you though 😓. I wish you luck

@@CREATIVEreviews It's hard to put into words. But there is a physical model which explains that the camera can fall out of the case.This is noticeable when the camera is in a protective case and you add a perpendicular force (greater than force of magnets) to the top module then the needed parallel force is not that big to make the camera fall out of the case. In Your case, this is explained by the the law of conservation of angular momentum. My case is explained by the centrifugal force.
Update: DJI replaced the broken unit. For sure the protective case will be used only in static shots.

I saw a youtube video that it have 3rd party metal case and tempered glass screen protected that can protect the camera with multiple drop test, get that for the fix.
Don't think DJI will give metal case to everyone for free, it only possible when they make the next generation camera. It good to known the pros and cons then decide to accept to buy it and buy your own 3rd party accessories to make it great if you like the camera so much.
I plan to buy it not for action camera, plan to use it as body camera for hand free recording.

Don't use the power module in harsh conditions. Magnetic case has increased the battery life. I'm using the power module just as a charger, whenver it's needed or the conditions are good
Magnetic case does not extend the battery life at all. It can extend the recording time if you’re recording in a high heat format like 4k 120fps
