Also forgot to set the batteries to the power bus, seal the cockpit and Sync the Gyros. Its all good though. I love how this points out trouble shooting because as demonstarted, humans are not perfect and can make mistakes.
Another important thing is on the NAV breaker panel, DO NOT engage the airspeed to doppler switch. This is a backup mode if your doppler system malfunctions, in a healthy airframe it's going to corrupt your Diss-15 doppler system and make it drift like there's no tomorrow ^^
Before turn on fuel pumps and opening fuel valves, you'll want to turn on your fire suppression system and ensure it isn't in test mode (and I guess in irl you would want to run the 3 tests too!).
So glad you did this video, I've been struggeling with the power, I don't know what it was but I think I got it now. (don't think it was anything with the rotor rpm but I dont know)
Nice tutorial... As always... I fly the FA18, never tried the rotary wings but strongly considering buying this beast. Question : What gear do you use to fly this? thank you!
Where is your video "DCS in 12 minutes gone?" :( I used to show it to people, who had no idea about what DCS was. And I was looking for the video right now :(
I've been using mine for about 5-6 years at this point and it's still going strong. I've read some people have had varable luck when it comes to build quality but I've never had any issues. The only weak link would be their drivers which are a bit meh and haven't been updated for quite some time.
@@timmy3822 Thank you for the answer. I hope that when i buy mine it wouldnt be bad luck with build quality. Im planing to spend a lot of my for good gear that will stay with me at least a half of decade. 5-6 years and still good is perfectly good for me. I hope that your will last you at least 5 years more.
@@Сергей-ю5й5й i have mine for about 4 years now. Light to medium use, I also use it for Xplane11 GA planes. What I like about the warthog HOTAS is that you can upgrade/change stuff pretty easy. Lighter spring, teflon o-ring, extensions, slew upgrade for the throttle etc. Main downside for me is the throttle friction pads, made from weird rubber they can wear down. I like my friction pretty high :D. And the other downside is the smoothness of the joystick right around the center. But I think that's because how it's been build/designed. Other than that mines perfectly fine too.
Hey guys! I totally forgot to include making sure you turn off the APU before you taxi or Take off! My mistake!
That's all good, as the APU has an auto-shutoff feature after a certain period of time I believe.
I also think you forgot the fire extinguisher and actually turning on the auto pilot system with that switch
Also forgot to set the batteries to the power bus, seal the cockpit and Sync the Gyros. Its all good though. I love how this points out trouble shooting because as demonstarted, humans are not perfect and can make mistakes.
What you bind to your joystick and HOTAS would be helpful.
@@Eagle01ph Yeaahhhh, I would delete this video, and make a new one....
It’s always a good idea to turn on the fire extinguisher system prior to starting APU, engines etc.

It's cool to see you taking an interest in helicopters! How are you enjoying the Hind so far? Is it getting easier to fly?
Actually almost identical to Mi-8. Very nice video.
Not only is the game super hard for me as a new player, i got no clue how to start things up haha! Love it

I’m so glad it helped dude!
I dont have words well done!
I literally just found this channel. Love GSW and the GR’s. But you’re so professional. Please do an Elephant Walk!
oh spud how could u be so pro with every aircraft, its amazing lol
Thanks for making this!
No problem!
Best start up vid yet.. you didn’t fly so fast through it so I can follow along
any idea on why's my hind pulling to the left continuously no matter what i do ? (rudder pedals are centered but it's still spinning)
Did you ever identify the problem? I’ve experienced the same and can’t taxi in the engine start/taxi tutorial.
Forgot the transormers and wondered why i acant activate gyros :) THanks for Tutorial. And explenation what some of it does.
Exactly what I need. Thank you 💗💗💗💗
Excellent
I think you need to also add "turn APU off" after the generators and electrical is all good to go.
Nice tutorial... As always... I fly the FA18, never tried the rotary wings but strongly considering buying this beast.

thank you!
Ahhh, that power! Now I finally know why my shit dies on me :) Thank you!!!
I’m glad it helped!
Main rotor brake and Engine cut-off valves are not a strange thing for those familiar with Ka-50

yeah, i see you forgot the most important stuff... the fan.
Awesome 😁
Hello Spudknocer, are you still using Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS, and if you are using, how good it is? Is it still good, after 2 years?

hi when i try to take off my rear thats spinning/rotating i dont know what im doing wrong=?
Ha ha, "missions and campaigns" with the Mi-24P - very good joke (11/2022).
I feel like people could actually learn how to operate military vehicles off this game
Turn off your APU!!! 🙄
do you use a hotas?
or just keyboard
everyone uses hotas
Where fire extuinguisher? >.>
Hind 24 scratches a lot. Lessons just stop
Sorry but, as mentionned on other comments, too much mistakes or misses in this video. Honestly, look at wag's video, simple.
Nice vid but shows you did not follow the tutorial :)) mentions your quirks.
