I love the little carriage from the beginning of the build. As a Harry Potter fan, this is really cool. I feel like this set would appeal to the more fervent Harry Potter fans - it's not as iconic a scene as the other sets. Still a really cool set, though! Thanks for sharing!
Finally got around to watching this, but it is still surreal that it took nearly two decades for us to get another set depiction of the Durmstrang Ship. The original version (4768) was among four sets released in the Fall of 2005 in the runup to the release of the film "Goblet of Fire" on November 18 of that year. Which in itself was released five and a third years after the book it was based on. That first model had 550 parts and only two minifigures of Igor Karkaroff and a generic Durmstrang student. Though part of this could be attributed to how it was built on several large pre-fabricated hull elements in dark stone gray and black. A Target-exclusive version of this set also came with minifigures of Harry, Ron, Hermione and the then-new version of Professor Dumbledore with sand blue robes, increasing the set's part count somewhat. At the time, pirate ship-style sets had become somewhat rare in Lego after the discontinuation of the original "Pirates" theme in 1997. Even as some sets had been re-released between 2001 and 2002 under the "Lego Legends" banner with different set numbers (such as 10040 for example). This new model of the ship contains 679 more parts than the original-not only because of it also containing a new (albeit smaller) version of the Beauxbaton's carriage, but because it has a stronger emphasis on brick-built construction overall. And where there are the Beauxbatons, there is also Madam Maxime Olympe, in a new style of robe in Metru red with the longer style of minifigure legs instead of the 2x2x3 73-degree roof tile in that color she had in her first appearance (75958) five years ago. That appearance had her with black hair in a "bob cut" which has been in use since 2008, while another set (75948) released in June 2019 was the first to feature her with this hair piece in dark brown, but in her Yule Ball robe. Between then and here, this hair piece has appeared in dark brown in five other sets, with one also being in the recent "Potions Class" (76431) as the hair of Slytherin student, Pansy Parkinson. Other rare elements in this set are the dark orange baskets used for the Crows nests, and the gold "function elements" on the sides of the ship.
