I started at age 50, no help from humans.I was living in Cairo and noone could speak the correct Arabic, they preferred the dialect called amiyyah. I as a convert wanted the real thing. So I knew Quran was the key. I would read the verses in english translation while listening to the Arabic reading and I would write the meaning and the Arabic. After a couple of years I started to attend Quran memoriization and that helped me more than anything. All in all it took about 10 years for me to start feeling I was learning Arabic as I was going twice a week to give my memorization to the teacher.
Now I'm 76 I've memorized half the Quran and I'm fluent in Reading writing and speaking. I translate as well books on the names of Allah and aqidah.
It's a long road but I love it and if you love something Allah makes it easy for His sake. ❤

Alhamdulillah! I really enjoy your channel Obayd! On my 57th Birthday on June 23rd I'll have been a proud Muslim for 4 months. I'm doing my best, a LOT to learn but what a beautiful journey thus far. I truly want to learn Arabic to read Quran and hopefully speak fluently some day. At my age I know it's going to be a challenge but being a life long learner is part of being a Muslim. When I hear Arabic being spoken it sets my heart and mind alight so I MUST do my best to do it! May ALLAH(SWT) continue to bless you and your family. ALLAHU AKBAR! AL HAQ! AL JABBAR!

For starters, I would recommend you take the learning process overtime taking the process of continuous learning. Seek knowledge from reliable sources, engage with the Quran, and take Islam slowly.
The Muslim community is a source of strength, guidance, and brotherhood. Connect with fellow brothers, both locally and online. Attend mosques, participate in events, and build relationships that will nourish your spirit and provide a support system.
Try to get in contact with a local Sheikh if you have one also.
All your previous sins are forgiven, so you don't have to worry about all the bad stuff you did in the past. 👍
And yeah, May Allah reward you for taking this step to be saved from the hellfire and admitted into paradise. Ameen.

Hey Obayd I'm glad that I reached your channel & I watched this video, Islam is spreading very quickly Alhamdulellah & the good thing that you are both speaking Arabic. I love my language Arabic & to be clear my education was in Abu-Dhabi till I finished the school - tawjihi - that time I took a very good way of studying I'm now 48 my teachers were excellent in Arabic and English and also the rest of subjects. I'm living in Palestine now.
ROFL I lived to see a day where two brits speak dialectic Arabic one Jeddawi and one Najdi and are both proud Muslims Ma sh2 Allah ... loved the interview Obayd keep up the great work .
oh and I forgot to add .... both of you ACTUALLY SOUND ARAB and by that I mean, you both sound like you're actually from there (%90) whereas some of the so called polyglots speak Arabic like toddlers and consider Arabic a language they speak .... I think the fact that Arabic has MSA and local dialects and both are massively different is a major problem for Arabic learners..

Amazing to see pure Brits who are Muslims and speak Arabic like Arabs. Watching these gentlemen speak gives me a glimpse of the (near) future when Islam will replace secularism, atheism and Christianity in the west and it will become normal to see pure Brits, Aussies, Americans and the rest of the Western world saying InshaAllah, Mashallah, Allah and Quran with an Arabic accent.
