🌾 Let's talk about food insecurity in Native American communities and the intersection of food security, structural inequality, and environmental changes. 🛤️
Native American households experience food insecurity at higher rate than other households. 📉 Historical policies and displacement have disrupted food systems, often leading to higher food prices and poor health outcomes. 💸
As a part of the Community Engineering Corps we partner with Native Nations to combat these challenges. The University of Arizona Student Chapter's work with the San Carlos Apache Tribe and Nalwoodi Denzhone Community is helping improve local food systems and infrastructure. 🌱💧
