So Dr. Wagner, here is a fun fact about Kenshi's first fatality (where he slams Cyber Sub-Zero into the camera). If you're using that fatality on a human Kombatant (barring Kenshi himself, since he's blindfolded), you'll actually see the fatality recipient's eye slide a bit down the screen.
MK11: okay, we did a lot of blood and body parts. I think this is pretty accurate to the human body! Dr. Wagner: Actually, the chest is supposed to slowly bleed out while you're paralyzed then you throw up all your intestines and die.
Heck, they STUDY real medical or more specifically tragic fatalities in real life to inspire the fatalities in the game... They test out a number of them and see which they deem is best for whichever character that's focused on per se. I'm really excited to see all of the new fatalities in Mortal Kombat 1.
"I wanna see the detail, I wanna see things being ripped off, I wanna see the blood vessels bleeding out" - a doctor. like imagine being on the surgery table and hearing that from the other room
Gotta find humor at some things right? Thank god it’s just a bunch of zeroes and ones. But nah, it’s actually pretty cool to watch someone in this profession watching a video game and still get a kick out of it is what I find pretty cool. Much respect for the doc.
I’d like to think the best part, is all of MK’s dev team is taking notes on this Doc’s analysis so they can improve the fatalities for the next game and their believability.
Anatomy wise, they have been trying to improve that, compare the games now to previous titles like Trilogy where a character explodes and has more than one rib-cage. As for believably on how the fatalities are performed, pretty sure Boon himself stated that they're trying to make them creative and ridiculous so that people know that they can't actually be done in real life
Since the doctor loves anatomy, he totally needs to react to the X-rays!!! I feel he would be able to give a more in-depth video and explanation about them
The description says they chose fan favorite fatalities, specifically what fans usually call the greatest fatalities, and I wonder how Smoke's first fatality isn't in here. It's literally amazing. I'm sure we would've gotten a lot of interesting information out of it as well.
The human body can be strange. Sometimes you can suffer a massive amount of damage and still fully recover, and sometimes you slip and fall and die instantly.
14:26 at the Oktoberfest, a guy bit another guys nose off! Fun fact: this is the only place I've ever heard of where a guy got beaten by a detached arm. This event was a long time ago, when a bomb attack claimed multiple lives and one drunk guy took a souvenir and was stopped by the police at which point he attacked them with said bodypart! Also, in Germany, there was a serial killer in the early 20th century who bit his victims in the windpipe. It got a lot worse than this, if you look this guy up... In any case, human bite wounds are no laughing matter as they tend to get infected even worse than most animal bites.
I've learned more about anatomy from watching a bunch of brutal execution videos explained by an ER Doctor, than I have from both of my Biology Classes. Like, I get it's not the same thing, but that's gotta be at least kind of surprising
There was a doctor that used the wire saw to remove someones infected arm in The Walking Dead a few years ago. It was one of the more brutal moments I can recall.
This was the 1st and only MK to be refused classification here in Aus. We didn't have an R18+ rating for videogames back then so MK always got rated MA15+. But maybe a year after the game released we got an R18+ rating for videogames so the game was resubmitted for rating and it passed with an R18+ rating. It's also the only MK where some people couldn't handle some of the fatalities. The wishbone fatality was one of them. So in that regard it doesn't surprise me it got refused classification without an R18+ rating.
Anything best about MK9 is well, obviously Everything. That game was best part of my life. It takes me few years back. Where I used play this masterpiece at gaming parlour. And my favourite fatalities are usually quan chi, Johnny Cage, Shang Tsung, kenshi and offcourse stage fatalities...
The more medical stuff I see on youtube the more convinced I become of the "Sephiroth didn't kill Aeris, he just paralyzed her, Cloud (accidentally) drowned Aeris when he dumped her body in the lake" theory.
Can noise cause your head to explode? sometimes I feel like it does. yep, from the voice alone you can tell the man has been trough some long shifts or trafficjams, or a huge renovation next door. or even worse all of them in that order.
20:50 and on the contrary, kittens jump around as high as 6 feet after getting run over before finally dying. I know its weird but I've seen it in person twice already
On the subject of sound causing injury, sound is just how our brains process pressure waves in the air as they hit our eardrums. Pressure waves, be it in air or fluid, can damage and kill people. Explosives that don't disperse shrapnel are still deadly because of the massive pressure force exerted within the area, and within solid structures like concrete, reverberating pressure waves can rupture internal organs for a significant distance away from the origin of the detonation. Some have referred to this phenomena of organ rupture from reverberating pressure waves as the "Chunky Salsa" effect. So when you get right down to it, pressure waves are a highly dangerous phenomena whether we can hear them or not, and some of the worst of them are ones we won't hear so much as feel as they rupture our eardrums and internal organs.
If Dr. Wagner loved Quan Chi's fatality in MK9, just wait until he sees Quan Chi's fatality from MK Deadly Alliance. Would love to hear his thoughts on that one specifically @Gamology, please do Deadly Alliance 😂
Honestly, if someone survives to the point of being literally just a half a body, no pelvis, no lower extremities, having to have a bunch of shit just to survive, like a bag for their intestines, you have to ask...is it even worth living anymore?
Noob’s Fatality gave me heebee-jeebees back then and it still does now. 😵💫😵💫😵💫 Getting ripped apart like a wishbone is definitely not a way I wanna die.
i love how he's explaining how you can't rip off a femur because of how strong it is but then you forget that all of these characters are superhuman like cmon a human killed an elder god
why do i pass out when looking at stuff like that even tho I'm interested? it's sad. i rly want to watch this video :/ more info: i can survive 2 minutes watching this till i collapse
It's not my original idea, but I love it so much that I'm gonna put it in anyway: In MK12, there should be a special finisher move for each character (like Babality in MK9 or Friendship in MK11) where you do a fatality, while a doctor is commentating on all of it like we see here with Jordan. Here's my pitch for its name: "Hospitality"
Good to be back at Gamology! 😎👍
Best part lol 😆
Your videos on this channel rock
Missed ya doc
Nice! Another vid with you in it! Hope ya do well man . Your reactions and everything are neat

I love how every once in a while he tells us about some real medical fact that turns out to be way more gruesome than what's being done in MK
Real life!!!
MK11: okay, we did a lot of blood and body parts. I think this is pretty accurate to the human body!
Dr. Wagner: Actually, the chest is supposed to slowly bleed out while you're paralyzed then you throw up all your intestines and die.

I love Jordan’s sheer glee at seeing the carnage being wrought lol
I’d like to think the best part, is all of MK’s dev team is taking notes on this Doc’s analysis so they can improve the fatalities for the next game and their believability.
Sadly it won't happen. The devs are trying to make their fatalities as unbelievable as possible, so no dummy would try this at home.
I do think they have consultants for the anatomy
Anatomy wise, they have been trying to improve that, compare the games now to previous titles like Trilogy where a character explodes and has more than one rib-cage. As for believably on how the fatalities are performed, pretty sure Boon himself stated that they're trying to make them creative and ridiculous so that people know that they can't actually be done in real life
I heard that in mk11 that the people who designed the anatomy would take courses relating to anatomy
@@TheAllin5 they do that and someone working on the wacky side I'd presume cause of course a good amount dont and cant have average anatomy
Everyone's favorite doctor is back once again.
EXACTLY YAYYYYYYYY
What's up doc
I think that title actually goes to the one and only Johnny Sins
Yup!! What an exciting day!!

I love watching Dr. Jordan’s reactions to stuff like this.
Educating, and entertaining.
True that but what really sucks about all this that they won't show red blood because well youtube....
@@High-Pie_Chop ikr, YT is turning a bit too “kid friendly” now sadly :/

Dr. Jordan is back in Gamology?
Mortal Kombat?
23 minutes of sheer knowledge, fatalities, and laughter?
*Am I in heaven*

This series taught me that the human body is way more sturdier than I imagined
The human body can be strange. Sometimes you can suffer a massive amount of damage and still fully recover, and sometimes you slip and fall and die instantly.
They need to get this guy on the fatality research team for the next mk lol
Agreed!
@@DoctorER Mamma Mia- You Actually replied-
I want him to react to the Mortal Kombat 9 x rays. To see how many a regular person could survive.
Ikr also the xrays for 10

Awesomeness!!!
Me, coming to Dr Jordan with my arms and legs ripped off.
Dr. Jordan: NICE!
Haha. Probably not my first reaction in the hospital setting !!!! ;)
I can't help thinking that he would get more kicks from the x-ray attacks than from the fatalities. Maybe a potential video for next time?
We need part 2 of him reacting to MK9 Fatalities. Not just because there were some that didn't appear, but also because he's commentary is the best.
I've learned more about anatomy from watching a bunch of brutal execution videos explained by an ER Doctor, than I have from both of my Biology Classes.

Got To Love This Particular Series.
BEST. ER. DOCTOR. EVER!!
Wasn't expecting this reaction for the best MK game 😳
I’m literally eating a full meal while watching this and I’m not grossed out 😂
I love how Skarlet takes a shower on Sub-Zero-Cybers blood❤️
i think him reacting to the various executions in the gears of war franchise as a whole would be fun, those are some over-the-top kills
Jordan asking if people know "Honey I Shrunk the Kids" skeptically.
I FEEL SO OLD.
Is always good to have back Doc ER. Funny and instructional
its always fun watching Jordan! :D
the editor is so cute when he put in lego star wars while he was talking about amputations haha
19:53 "Use that more often." That Fatality is a variation of a Fatality Sub-Zero has been using since MK1.
Yay fav Doctor with fav Mortal Kombat game
Doctor ER is the best!
Always a blast to see the Doc on here!😃If possible, could he react to the healing system in Metal Gear Solid 3?
That’d be sick
Anyone working at Gamology, let Jordan have some fun in Surgeon Simulator in TF2 mod, that he has to transplant a heart.

Character: Gets killed in a brutal way
ER Doctor: 😍😊😋🤤
I would love to see our favorite doctor watch all the fatalities of different Mortal Kombat games.
Great Video! *Awesome Fatalites*
I woulda loved to see Cyber Sub-Zero's Brain Freeze fatality, if only for Dr. Wagner's reaction to the stupid pose the body makes.
I always love how much gore excites him
A good thing about him is that he realises it's a game.
The more medical stuff I see on youtube the more convinced I become of the "Sephiroth didn't kill Aeris, he just paralyzed her, Cloud (accidentally) drowned Aeris when he dumped her body in the lake" theory.
Love this guy!!! Thank u Gameology!
Appreciate it
Poor Cyber Sub-Zero.
I think it only makes sense to get Jordan to react to either MKX X-rays or MKX Fatalities
Please do x rays next on MK9
After his Reactions to Mortal Kombat fatalities. He'll find his Future patients operations funny and chuckle worthy...
Can noise cause your head to explode?
sometimes I feel like it does. yep, from the voice alone you can tell the man has been trough some long shifts or trafficjams, or a huge renovation next door. or even worse all of them in that order.
Legend has it, Quan Chi is steal beating Cyber Sub-Zero’s body with its own leg
This is completely violent. And what's even worse a real doctor is giving serious facts about every death.
Legend has it Quan Chi is still beating Cyber Sub-Zero with its own leg
The way he describes things is so unnerving. Like the whole removing hand skin like you remove a glove, like yoo wtf xD
I like how this suspends the reality, like I often wondered if you could actually rip someones head off, nope
Love the extra body info
I love this game, I have so much nostalgia for it, I basically grew up on this
Love these mortal kombat fatality reaction videos.

Thats grevious harm with a body
I‘m already looking forward to when this man will react to MK1‘s fatalities when the game‘s out
Please make a video reenacting the CQC scenes from MGS3! Thank you!
The Shang Tsung Fatality was how Shang Tsung killed Stryker in the 2nd MK Legends film.
I have that same reaction watching these Fatalities while i'm playing this game on Playstation 3 before.
I can just imagine this doc performing surgery, making an incision and is just like "NIIIICE!"
