      Hi 😍💐 I am so glad that you do and in the past years, I love the ones I have as well. There was a time I was looking for others that I do not have, but then I thought about space, and was ok with what I have here. They fit nicely in their little corner of the blooming alley and have grown so much. If I had more, I would be struggling to have them in an ideal location. Thank you so much for watching 🫶🏼 I hope your Friday was beautiful ❤️🌸

    Hi Nina! Thank goodness I have only three accidental tillies….that is enough. Of all the old dried up maintenance you do 🤪 but your babies obviously love it. And they can get scale? Omg! 🤬 Go git em! You have a great Sunday! ❤

    • @NinjaOrchids
      @NinjaOrchids  7 месяцев назад +3

      BeBe hi 😍💐 they only get the makeover treatment 1x/ year! Now I do scrutinise them a little more closely throughout the year, as the one that I lost to scale has resulted in trust issues 😡 I can't imagine having to soak these guys every week in my conditions, so, the fact they are able to grace their shelf on the far end of the blooming alley all seasons, that makes it easy for me! Its amazing to me how big they have grown from what I originally had on the piece of cork the aphyllum is mounted on. I love it when I see the fresh new little pups, though 🫠 I hope you are doing well and wish you a wonderful weekend, lovely lady!! Thank you so much for being here, for watching 🫶🏼❤️🌸

    Oh WOW AWESOME video Nina :-D I absolutely LOVE Tillandsia Air Plants, and this is a really INCREDIBLE care video on these amazing plants, I have quite a few Tillandsias in my bathroom and kitchen, they really are wonderful and unique plants to grow, and out of all the Tillandsia vids I have watched this video is THE BEST and most informative I have ever seen on You Tube, thank you so much Nina for sharing this amazing video on caring for Tillandsias, and sending you lots of love and happiness and PLANT POWER to Spain for a wonderful evening and weekend ahead XXXX

      Lyn!!! Hi 😍💐 thank you so so much for your amazing feedback!! It is so uplifting and encouraging, I truly appreciate it 🙌🏼 I love your airplant collection and have seen all the unboxings in the past, how they are growing for you, where you have them... yes, I know your collection very well and your feedback on the information in this video is truly appreciated, seeing as you have your's so well dialled in. I only have the ID on the Snow, because I bought that specifically along with an orchid order 5 years ago. I love that perfect growth with the snow white fuzz! Reminds me of some of your cacti that I would want to cuddle, but that would come with some risks of being attacked 😅 the eye says touch me, the cactus says, 'hold my beer!' 🤣 🤣 hope your Friday was fabYOUlous!! thank you so so much for watching, Lyn! Wow!! I am 🥹 Regards, to Hans 🫶🏼❤️🌸

    There is one thing about Tillandsias that really sets them apart from other houseplants: Random piece of wood + Tillandsia + Time = a gracefull "in situ" looking display without any effort, even in non ideal conditions. Trying to achieve the same result with an orchid would require a greenhouse with significantly more care.

      Savvas 😍💐 hi!! It is good to see you again! I hope you are doing well 🫶🏼 exactly!! If I had the opportunity to have some presented the way you suggest, they definitely make a wonderful accent decorative plant around the home. A living picture or sculpture. Beautiful! I am a sucker for anything silver or glaucus. 🫠 to think I only have them because I needed that piece of cork they were mounted on 😬 thank you so very much for watching!! Have yourself a wonderful weekend 🫶🏼❤️🌸

      🥷🏼🌸 Samurai Julie San 😍🙌🏼🤸🏼‍♀️🥰💐 good evening, beautiful! They are a wonderful accent plant in any grow space. Especially when, as in your case, you have humidifiers to keep them happy without having to mist or soak them. I am glad that, so far, I only lost 1 of them to scale, and it was one that I had a double of! Just don't want to have to worry about scale in the future! It was wonderful to have the one on one with you, 🌸🥷🏼🥂 have yourself an amazing Saturday, Beautiful Samurai 🫶🏼❤️🌸

      @NinjaOrchids  7 месяцев назад +4

      Annavoeg, hi 😍💐 if you have featured your tectorum in your videos, I am sorry that I never noticed it 🫣 along with the long spider ones (everything is NoID with the exception of tectorum) it is one of the slowest growing tillandsias I have. Mine is 5 years old and it came to me as 30% of the size it is now, and the pup started growing 2 years ago, but I only noticed it actually existing during last year's grooming session. It still has as yet to be of any noticeable size. But the tectorum really is my favorite! I actually purchased that one along with an orchid order! Love it!! Thank you so much for watching!! I hope you had a wonderful Friday, lovely lady 🫶🏼❤️🌸

      @NinjaOrchids  7 месяцев назад +3

      FFF 😍🙌🏼🤸🏼‍♀️🥰💐 good evening, meine liebe Freundin!! I had no idea that scale would attack tillandsias either and I was so mad because it was one of the fuzzy ones, and no matter how carefully I tried to deal with them, it was impossible. As I have a double, I had to make the decision to get rid of it before they spread 😡 luckily you have VERY high humidity 😆 your's don't need watering! 🫣 😅 thank you so much for watching este video!! Have yourself a cozy evening, amiga mia! 🫶🏼❤️🌸

    • @NinjaOrchids
      @NinjaOrchids  7 месяцев назад +3

      😍HI Denise 💐 I was thinking of having them hang from a hook above the blooming alley but that would be even harder to take care of them, water going everywhere when I need to spray them, so, my flower arranging / centre piece courses for hospitality kicked in and well, thank you! Using the different colors and structures to complement one with the other does make for a nice little presentation. AND they are not in the way when I water them 🤪 I also get to play Figaro every once in a while 😂 hoep your had a wonderful Friday, lovely lady! I appreciate you watching, thank you 🫶🏼❤️🌸

      Hi 😍💐 yes!! I recognize you because I saw your other comment, but could not find it anymore to tell you congratulations on starting your channel and posting videos!! So, Congratulations 🙌🏼 great name, Jayyy!! I have of course subscribed and done a community post and hope that you will get some people added to your subscriber count. I have also subscribed to the channel that commented on your latets Enobi Splash video 👍🏼 if he sees my comment under his latest video, and we can all promote each other's channels, then I will do a community post for him as well a little later on. I don't want to do one post after the other. 🤪 These tillandsias are quite the funky side product of me needing a piece of cork to mount and orchid on, but now that they are here, might as well take care of them 😉 thank you so much for watching, Jayyy!! I hope your Friday was fabYOUlous and I wish you the same for Saturday 🫶🏼❤️🌸

    I have some on a mount and water them, but mines always die!!!! One only has survived on my mount sheesh 🙄. I have Spanish moss and water it as well, but they die! I am a bad airport mommy! I did not know we have to trim them…. Well, mines don’t last to even do that lol 😮😢😊. Hi Nina!!!! 😃🌷🌷🌷

    • @NinjaOrchids
      @NinjaOrchids  7 месяцев назад +4

      Ileana, hi 😍💐 ok... how high is your humidity? How much airflow do you have if your humidity is higher than 60% Spanish moss did not survive for me! I got mine to flower once, and then it frazzled. No matter how much I misted it, my climate was too dry. I soaked it, and it was far too much water for the tiny structures, so, if you have humidity above 80% consistently then you should be ok with growing spanish moss, but it is a tough one when the conditions are not 100% all the time. How do you mount your airplants? What material are you using? How do you water your's? Lots of questions, if you have time to let me know, maybe we can explore and trouble hoot together in the event that you would like to try again with some more. I trimmed the dry frazzled ends off the lower leaves just to tidy the plant up. It is not necessary, but as I am only doing this once a year, I just do a little Figaro action. Not on all of them, but the one you saw me snip away at, that one frazzles on me in my dry conditions. I don't cut into the green though. Let me know if you would like to sort the 'problem' out, if I can be of any help 😊 thank you so much for watching! I hope your Friday is going beautifully for you 🫶🏼❤️🌸

    • @NinjaOrchids
      @NinjaOrchids  6 месяцев назад +1

      that is so strange that you would loose tillandsias then! I wonder what is going on! Do you soak your's and hang them back up without letting them dry upside down? Do you mist them? Are you loving them too much with fertilizer? 🤔🤔🤔 what material are you using to secure them to the mount?

      Hi Cheryl 😍💐 it is so good to see you again! I hope you are doing well 🫶🏼 I am glad that you saw this video so that you can now extend the individual bloom duration of your tillandsias! As they are just as slow to bloom as orchids can be, it is nice to have them around for as long as possible. 😊 I just have a hard time doing that because of how dry it is here when they bloom and all the misting is more important for their survival than me wanting to appreciate the blooms. Thank you so much for watching, Cheryl! I hope your day is going beautifully!! 🫶🏼❤️🌸

      😍 Hi Julia 💐 congratulations on your airplants!! You are going to have so much fun growing them. I would not have expected them to be attractive to scale. Those things are just a scourge, the pest I hate the most.

    • @NinjaOrchids
      @NinjaOrchids  7 месяцев назад +3

      Don Miguel 🥰💐 hola jefe! Scale was the last thing that I thought would take one of them out. Thankfully, I have a double so it is not as if I lost a single in my collection, but it annoyed me to no end, and of course it was a fuzzy one, I tried to spot treat it, remove the bodies gently, but it just wasn't happening!! I had to toss it for the welfare of the others. Trust me, I was surprised!! 🤨 I don't know what purpose they serve in the grand scheme of things, really! I know there has got to be something that it is part of the food chain, but whatever that creature is, it is not very effective! 😡 meh!! Hope the other one will not suffer the same fate, because those are my slowest growing tillandsias, and the fact that they have nice sized pups by now, well.... I want it to stay! Thank you so much for watching, Michael! I hope you are doing well and that your Friday is a fabYOUlous round off to a wonderful week 🫶🏼❤️🌸

    How long do the blooms last if you don’t get water on them?

    • @NinjaOrchids
      @NinjaOrchids  7 месяцев назад +2

      🌸🥷🏼 Nina San, hi 😍🙌🏼🤸🏼‍♀️🥰💐 look at you all pretty with your dendrobium Berry 'Oda' bloom right there 🥰 thank you so so much for the support 🙏🏼 I appreciate you asking that question because once the video was all done and uploaded, I watched it back and had this face 😑 when I did not mention the bloom duration! D'oohh!! I was hoping someone would ask 🫣😅 each bloom can average 4 days, without getting water on them but the spikes have several bracts with many many blooms so the duration of having a tillandsia in bloom can be 3 weeks. It starts to look a little scruffy with the spent blooms, but they can be picked off easily just to keep the spike looking nice! Again, thank you for the question, allowing me to fill in that blank and thank you so much for watching 🫶🏼I hope you had a wonderful Saturday and are having a relaxing late afternoon 🌸🥷🏼🫶🏼❤️
