Man this brings back so many memories it makes me want to get back on a BMX I'm nearly 48 years old but yeah sure I never did a lot of quarter pipe I used to get air off the side of a table top at Grove BMX track in Rayleigh there were some really good guys there that were professional Craig Campbell, Andy's brother Neil Ruffell and am older kid called Russell Hawkes he was as good as anyone I can think of those 6 foot doubles and triples were easy for him
Time to dust down the mongoose and pump up the tyres on the skyway tuff wheels and head down the skateboard park 😄...then a quick game of Pacman or Space invaders at the local youth club !!!
Will always think these look so much better than bmx bikes now but probably just nostalgia ☺ used to to watch this and then rewind the vhs to watch it again and again 👍 🚲
Worth a few bob now the old Mongooses and Diamond backs ..I was unlucky and got a Burner a red one with the nappy pads lol but I put Skyways on it layback seatpost had to make a converrer out of a tobacco tin for that fat seat post holder and I had Mushroom grips + CW handlebars I had to get the frame welded and strengthened on the gussett which cost my Dad a fiver cos I snapped the frame all burners snapped (Raleigh Burner) the later Raleigh Burners (Aero frame) was much better
Seriously tho HOW LUCKY were we? We had breakdancing Kickstart AND BMX ....All kids have now is instagram duck faces and the fear of online grooming ...poor bastards
@@davidpearson6346 well for he one thorn there were many roses, life wasn't perfect I grant you, but it was pretty awesome time, for me anyway (looking back, even if I didn't always recognise it at the time )
Crazy watching this thinking how cool it was back in the day, after watching todays riders and what they do. Insane evolution.
it was a great time to be a kid in the uk, probably the best time ever
