The first four albums are nearly perfect and almost universally loved. The next seven albums all have their merits and problems (some more than others--looking at you, St. Anger!). The next seven also represent the beginning of the fracture in the fan base as Metallica started to change 'the formula,' if you catch my meaning. People were upset that the music wasn't as fast. The guys cut their hair. They were making music videos on the regular. They were no longer an underground, never, ever heard-on-the-radio thrash band and the secret you shared with a few friends that could handle them. They were everywhere! That said, in concert they ALWAYS gave 110% and always made sure to play some old stuff that got everyone pumped. They still do, just now they are splitting it up into two separate shows because they can only play for so long each night lol. I still have to catch them somewhere on the 72 Seasons tour!
Yep this was my favorite song of the Hardwired album. Yep this is their studio/HQ. I like all their albums except St. Anger. But I still own the St. Anger CD. I think the missing Bass in the And Justice album was them mourning the loss of Cliff. And if you are going to their concert better start checking out some of the 72 Seasons album too. I would start out with "Lux Aeterna", since it was the first song they released off the album.
Love this song, I hope you react to the live version, specifically the Nashville 2019 version, another song you could react to is fight fire with fire and their Live in Mexico city version. Thank you.
Death Magnetic and Hardwired are both good albums…people just can’t get over the fact that bands want to evolve their sound…Load and ReLoad were questionable but both have a couple of great tracks on them
Check out Halo on Fire next - it's another one off Hardwired. Also, every album is worth a listen to. Don't listen to those who say not to listen to anything post Black album.
This is the best of the “new era” albums. Plenty of great songs in the first half of the album, but meh second half. Atlas Rise is super cool - I love the Iron Maiden influences.
🤘👍👍🤘ed
🤘DON'T LISTEN 2THE HATERS MAKE YOUR OWN DECISIONS🤘
Now that we're dead is another banger on this album.
I think hardwired is a very good album.
🤘🏽😎
Being close to the same age of these guys ,I can appreciate the change in style. Its all part of life experiences........

You are right, this song is water.
Love the song. Hate the music video.
The video is funny, but yeah it doesn’t suit the song and detracts from a first impression.
The two most UNDERRATED albums by Metallica are DM and Hardwired. Each is a stone classic.
