This is a bit depressing for the holidays I'm sorry.
This video is a gift that's part of an event, secret santa, hosted by bsd-secret-santa on tumblr.
I am so sorry this is late, sadly a fever caught me on the last week of school and I didn't want to give you a half-assed gift made in a fever induced state so I held it off until I got my life back in order.
I hope you had a fantastic Christmas and may 2017 be a happy year for you and the entire BSD fandom.

the fact that Dazai shakes off the coat Mori give him BEFORE getting near Odasaku breaks me T_T as if that would keep Mori from hurting Odasaku more
It's also a way to show there's no coming back for him. He shakes off the coat and leave it in the dark, to be beside odasaku on the lighter part of the room.

I like them all platonic. Odazai not romantically, since it is said that odasaku is like a parent or brother to to dazai who understands him. A lot also probably ships dazai and chuuya (I personally believe their partnership is something that exceeds love that could withstand the lives they lead) maybe because of the rapport and unconditional trust between them, but platonic is the best ship still (is it even one)
This is so beautiful, I'm actually crying. Odasaku' death was so heart breaking, especially the effect it had on dazai. When you think about it, dazai was only 18, still a child really. Odasaku was the only positive influence he'd had from a superior for years, and I feel like that's the reason he would do anything for him. When ever I think of these two, I'm so sad. If odasaku had lived to become a writer, would he have brought dazai with him? Chuuya? Would he have been happy to see dazai drunk in a bar for two years while waiting to get into the detectives agency? This was one of the best mangas/novella series I've read in a while, and although I'm a little behind on the show, as long as it sticks to the writing i should already know what happens.
Are you excited for chapter 49? I really hope that tanizaki is okay, although I feel like he won't be. They have to earn their 18 and up raising somewhere.

I do wonder sometimes what would have happaned if Oda lived and was there to guide Dazai through life. I think Dazai would learn to open up more maybe.
Oda and Dazai are dear characters to me for many different reasons, I sympathise with them on certain things and share the same goal as Oda, to one day become a writer. I want to tell stories that would make people's hearts swell, change their perspective and such. But I have a long way to go before I can do something like that.
I can't wait for the new chapter! I hope Tanizaki is ok too, I don't think they're gonna kill him off, at least not yet. Yosano will heal him is my guess. (He was so badass in this chapter tho like damn son.) But in the end all that's left is to wait. I'm scared to see who's gonna be of Fyodor's victim(kill) list by the end of the story, it would be a shame to set up such a terrifying villain and not have him do much damage, but I don't want anyone to die.😢
I'm also hyped at the prospect of new eastern european writers to get charater counterparts! Since I'm from south-eastern Europe myself (Serbia), it would be really cool to see writers I study in school.

I'm gonna be honest but i like Odazai better than Soukokou. I was really disappointed that Odazai wasn't as popular as Soukokou. I can't see the reason of how Soukokou became higher than Odazai but my only guess is that because they hate each other while Odazai like each other, Mostly pairings that are involved with people hating each other tend to get popular in the fandom. I wish that the pairing was popular but then again i am happy that it's underrated because i wouldn't be able to ship them if it became popular anyways great video! ♡

I have to agree with you on this. Odazai is such a pure relation and it is hard to find something like that in the real world. Soukoku is a relation for greater TRP (and I also love it) but Odazai is something which cannot be described in words.
And I love this video for portraying that.
I agree! Soukoku may have the popular dynamics most people like and I do think its cute sometimes but Odazai is my otp T.T
It is probably because Odazai only has half a season of screen time and Soukokou has a lot more.
