Man, I aint a DIY-er by any means but I remember helping Dad around the house when I was growing up and all his tools couldve benefited from this kind of thing!! I might actually start my own collection just to begin shadow-foaming from the outset. 👍
I have OCD and for me everything has to have it's place. I can't even wash dishes without lining them up in order of colour! I found your video as a suggestion by RUclips, I love my Makita tools and still have one that is 20 years old! I'm hoping you do international shipping, will check your website.
Im currently working on a little hobby project, making a portable 12v battery pack with 2x 18v batteries. This is going to make putting it all together in a nice case with a good finish so easy! Thank you man exactly what i need. Havent checked out the website yet but i pray you ship to australia
Thought these were great, until I saw the price - which is MORE expensive than the boxes they sit in! Better to contact a local foam company and buy some offcuts that will fit. Its really easy to use a jigsaw to cut foam with depths of 50mm etc
Do you have a video or something that compares the pack out systems? Do you have a favorite? Would you say one has a best value. If you don’t need to be mobile, would you ever recommend a pack out system over other storage options?
@@ShadowFoam At the very least you could do it for the batteries as genuine batteries are standard sized and for each battery range there is only like 5-6 battery capacities available but like you said for the tools there are hundreds of tools that use these batteries of varying shapes and sizes. I remember getting my first Makita LXT power tool which was a combi drill and a pamphlet in the packaging was advertising how there are well over 1000+ tools in the range and this was back in 2019. They still use the LXT battery range and have released so many more tools that use them but for the batteries there is only 6 capacities I know of for their LXT (1.5Mah, 2Mah, 3Mah, 4Mah 5Mah and 6Mah) as long as you size up one of each capacity of battery from the popular brands then you should be good AND you can save cost by having an adjustable sticker that can be cut shorter for a smaller capacity of battery vs a large one meaning you only need to print off the largest sized ones
But what is happen, when the tools are not at the same hight? You rotate the box and some tools will fall out of the foam, when it is not hold up from the lid 🤔

Good luck with your project!
Unfortunately these inserts are almost as expensive as the box they sit in. Nice idea but price-point is too high as yet for me to want to invest.
But is it as expensive as the tools that will go in the foam?

@@ShadowFoam there's cheaper foam on the market, you don't get to choose the colour but it's the same stuff
I'd rather have my tools in foam than them being loose bumping into eachother. Pluss it looks sexy AF

Want to know how to make a foam liner for a toolbox we DON'T make inserts for? Stay tuned for next week's video!
instead of buying the expensive insert, i’d rather buy another makita makpac ✌🏻
You are free to do as you please! 🙂
Have you guys thought about making tool, battery etc cut-out templates to send with your kits?
We don't make templates for tools as each tool is different. It's best to just cut around your specific tool as that will give you the best finish

Спасибо большое было интересно, за русские субтитры респект и удачи в продажах...
рад, что тебе понравилось, дружище, спасибо за добрые слова
Tools & batteries are well known, perhaps templates would be a good idea - do you sell them?
Awesome man!
Thank you! Tempted to have a go yourself?
curious if that example case would even close with that recessed handle

The foam is dense and cut in tight, so the tools won’t fall out
Not First
That's ok, you can try again next time!
