How do you plan to get a diplomatic passport?
Mind explaining it here or making a video/short on this topic.
Because I couldn't get any info on it online other than everyone saying it's only reserved for high ranking govt. officials, a job which is not at all appealing.

"For every year which you haven't figured out the direction of your life, it will put you 1 year behind those who figured it out"
I used to have that thinking all the time, and I thought I was behind others who started a few years earlier and felt depressed because of it. Being reminded that this thinking is false made my day honestly. Thanks for that.

    Here's mine:
    - Establish a strong foundation for my life to live, grow, and adapt comfortably.
    - Thrive in a new country and learn a new language.
    - Learn as much as I can in the field of computing, physics and mathematics, especially quantum mechanics.
    - Work in CERN or any other wonderful science institutions.
    - Notice and address problems in society and:
~ Launch an innovative startup, ideally in tech or physics or a combination of both, that will solve real-world problems.

The sad truth and the remarkable theme you proposed in this video, which I will call "αυτογνωσία," remind me of a timeless concept. From Socrates to Seneca, the best way to keep improving and establishing the right path is through a combination of joy and great failure. This approach may not bring instant happiness, but it fosters the development of concrete skills, valuable networks, and exposure to diverse cultures and environments.
I wouldn’t say that everyone needs to be hyperactive or constantly forcing experiences as you did. However, the true catalyst for change lies in never ceasing the pursuit and experimentation of knowledge and ideas. A well-curated bucket list could be an excellent way to align curiosity, goals, and the reality we aspire to create.
Overall , Great video . Best luck to your 2025, Samuel!

The most unexpected turning point in my life was when I decided to pursue both business administration and mathematics simultaneously. In high school, I was determined to study business administration and couldn't have imagined enrolling in a mathematics program. However, after a year into my business studies, I developed a keen interest in mathematics, sparked by preparation for an interview. Unable to choose between the two, I resolved to undertake both degrees concurrently. Despite many advising against this dual path, I am more than happy with my decision and have great success with that. It's remarkable how unforeseen experiences can lead us to our true passions.

First of all, let me say that with your abilities, almost anything might seem within reach. But that’s not how it works for everyone.
Back in my early twenties, I pursued a traditional legal track, two state exams and a PhD. Even in the age of AI, this doesn’t automatically open every door. Sometimes I look back and wonder if I overly narrowed my focus by sticking so closely to law.
When you really think about it, having fewer choices can actually bring more contentment. Which raises an interesting point: might it be more satisfying for someone to deliberately pick one route out of many, say, at least finishing a bachelor’s degree, and then commit to it? In other words, to practice self-imposed limits and only reconsider under very specific circumstances, rather than letting the lure of countless “better” alternatives distract us?
Wishing you a Happy New Year and all the best for the coming year 🎉

1: Get into a proper theoretical physics / mathematical physics PhD program
2: Return to Berkeley/Cali and ride down highway 1 in a convertible 🇺🇸
3: Get an internship in AI development or Quant trading
4: Visit South Korea, Brazil and Japan and reunite with friends
5: Get a job or paid work related to my field in Quantum Computing
6: Publish in Physical Review Letters
7: Publish in theoretical physics outside my field
8: Find a partner to spend years with
9: Get as jacked as possible, let's deadlift 500+ 💯
One has to be careful with setting unrealistic goals which one cannot realistically achieve but I, perhaps naively, hope to get around to these

I believe most important thing is more a matter of what you do more than where you do it. For exemple i'm in south France, i sing in choirs for fun, and as it is it can become my actual job like Opera singer, I have a project for next year to do a michael jackson concert with orchestra and choir, and the orchestra in wich i'm singing is going for it ! So you see it's happening right where i am ! Like, do we really have to run all around the world, not staying in place ? I'm sure it's very interesting to change country, just for the different ambient mindsets we find, but this doesn't guarentee that you will do something interesting THERE. You can go the other side of the world and still do something bullshit. Or stay in your town and do incredible things.

5:00 I tend to disagree with that. Again, what you are saying here is based on living life on a linear progression. Like you said in the beginning, life is not linear. And no matter if you are in your 20s, 30s, or 40s,.. you will constantly find yourself going around in circles of self-discovery. I am in my 40s now. I have had my shares of failures and success earlier, lived in 3 countries, made money, bought lots of assets, bling-bling, all that jazz etc. and I still feel like I haven't figured life out. What was once a priority in my 20s, and 30s, is definitely no longer a priority in my 40s. As human we are constantly redeveloping ourselves. Swiss psychiatrist and psychotherapist wrote books on this subject. So in terms of hitting 40s, anyone who is interested can check out this video based on Jung's studies: ruclips.net/video/iAkNIj4FrTA/видео.html

Maybe Physics research could've brought you across something phenomenal. Maybe this fast paced style Entrepreneurship is just cool, but the products doesn't improve a lot of lives.

In terms of money and impact, I do think that great startups can have at least as much impact on the world as scientists do. Money can enable you to do a lot of good (or bad) things. Even if a startup doesn't directly do something "great" for humanity, creating jobs, building cool tech, and making a lot of money that can be invested in a lot of good things is surely creating a lot of positive impact in my view
