This is the real descendant of the Khom. The art of dancing is graceful and beautiful, passed down through bloodline and DNA. As for the Khmer, they are descended from savages in the Indonesian islands, whom King Jayavarman of Phimai, the Siamese ancestor, brought to work as laborers to build various castles. Therefore, the Khmer do not know how to do anything, they just wait to claim it from Thailand, which is easy.
This performance has its roots in Hinduism, which spread from ancient India to the golden land (Suvarnabhumi) of Southeast Asia since before the 1st century. Therefore, this performance was strongly influenced by Indian culture, including the dance moves called the Natya Shastra. Siam adapted it into a unique Thai style that is unlike the original Indian version. We accept and respect that Indian culture is the origin of this performance and all Thai dances. However, since the Siamese adapted the original for thousands of years, it has become a completely Thai culture. Even India accepts this fact. We must give credit to India as the original prototype that gave Thailand such a beautiful culture. At the same time, we must also admire the Siamese people who have the ability to adapt it into a Thai style.
Apsara from India laos Vietnam and Thailand look similar but cambodian looks different because they use thai traditional dance. Only one black sheep in south east asian.
The Thais ruled Cambodia for almost 600 years, and built a palace for Cambodia, as well as the art of dancing (before the French occupied Cambodia, during colonial times).

The dance to worship Hindhu God in Hindhuism. Thai culture is much influenced by Hindhuism and Bhuddhism.
Thai or tai or siem has no Apsara . Please find Apsara in Angkor what temple in Cambodia.
It has Apsara in Phimai and Phanonrung Temple and were built before Ankor Wat.
