Thank you for taking us on part 1 of your Wales adventure. We are watching with interest as we are really interested in exploring the area more next year. Excellent footage and video Thank you 💕 Rachel, David & Roxy
Cader Idris is definitely a must do but need the right weather so pick you day!☀️ Tenting it?! Probably easier to get parked up close, not sure I’ll ever get Michelle back in a tent! 🤣 Cheers.. Andy&Michelle
Its been more than 30 years since I last went around that area, as for the hill climbs hmm don't even think back then I would of been able to do it let alone in just over four hours. To get to the top and see that body of water is more of a torment than a beautiful view after that walking I think I would risk the DIVE from up there into it. Great video guys. Watching Chelle in those trainers my ankles would of been in agony even more so on that steep walk down. I had to stop watching a 3rd of the way through I was that tired I needed a 2 hour break and when I woke up I had blisters on my feet and bruising around my left ankle. lol. Thanks for sharing brought back good memories from when my kids mom was alive. Ray K. UK. yawn.
Hi Ray, its great you enjoyed our hike😀🥾 The hike down was a tough one and seemed to go on for ever! Its lovely to hear we brought back some good memories for you, very touching ❤️ Take care ...Andy&Michelle
We explored Barmouth and Fairbourne quite a few years back when our kids were in their mid-teens, our base was just outside of Bala. The sandy beaches, clear shallow waters and mountain backdrops are beautiful. The cycle track to Barmouth provides much better views than the road link. At 6:30 you appear to be very close to Blue Lake - an old quarry with a blue (from dissolved natural minerals) tinted pool. Sadly the entrance has now been sealed due to misuse by the public (mostly littering) but you can view it from the top and there are rusty remnants of old quarrying equipment strewn around.
Thats interesting about the quarry, we had seen a quarry on RUclips in this area which is accessed through a short tunnel and had it on our list to find one day, maybe its the same one? Will take a look the next time we are in the area 😀 cheers...Andy&Michelle
@@ExtremeMotorhomingAdventures That's the one but I believe the farmer/landowner blocked the access tunnel. You can still view from the perimeter and get the drone in there. Your cycle path was just above it by 400 metres as you passed but it's hidden by the contour of the land. The video brought back some treasured memories so thanks for posting.
Great vlog guys. Were off to bed now. Were knackered from your ride. We'll start watching more because we will be there next year as full-time vanlifers from Australia.
Thanks 😊 lots of great places to visit over here in the UK and Europe so sure it will keep you busy and interested for a long time! 😀👍 Cheers...Andy&Michelle
That was superb and to see a bike run we’ve actually done, well, past the pub and rickety bridge to Barmouth and along to fairbourne and the wee steam train! Nice climb and you didn’t appear to get lost! Remarkable 😂 Thanks as always for the advice on Switzerland you guys are the best!
On this occasion it was a perfectly executed route! 🤣 a miracle really as it was only planned out 10 minutes before starting! Good to see you also took the ride into Barmouth, did you stay at the same site? Cheers.. Andy&Michelle
@@ExtremeMotorhomingAdventures we were at Hendre mynach folks, saw the Slaws do a video on it. We loved it, perfect base for cycling walking and eating at the lobster pot - amazing! You guys stayed there also I think !
Some great footage and scenery there, looks like you had great weather. You made great time on the hill, I'd probably have stopped for a couple of snoozes and done it in 12 hours 🤣👍
We were lucky with the weather, just timing it right - things change so quickly on the mountains - I'm sure you'd have stopped at the for a nice cup of tea 🤣 Cheers...Andy&Michelle
Is that a disused railway line? I would have loved to go along there on a train 😍 we definitely need to do that area. We want to do snowdon at some point - the pathway with all the fairy pools. Would be great to plan that together one day 😊 also we are yet to find one of those ladders that goes across a fence and I really want to go over one 😂
Yes it is a disused line, would be perfect for your tandem😀 do you know you are talking about the hardest route up snowdon , starts from the lowest point and is a bit tricky for the last section! It is beautiful though, always happy to take you up though😀 maybe we can find a ladder style too! 😀 cheers.. Andy&Michelle ❤️
Hi guys, really enjoyed this vlog. We love wales 🏴 so much and have never been to any of the places so have added them to our list. Can’t wait for the next episode 🥰 take care Sarah
Glad you enjoyed it Sarah 😊 as soon as it cools down to a bearable temperature I'll be inside again making the next instalment 😀 cheers Andy&Michelle 😍
We’ve yet to head to Wales in our Motorhome but are planning to do Snowdon with friends hopefully next year but this has inspired us to do more areas as that cycle looked really lovely and that hike, wow, the views were amazing 🤩 Thank you for making such great vids and sharing them, looking forward to part 2 😊
You are in for a treat, theres so much to do and experience there, just putting the finishing touches to part 2 with lots more activities so won't be long 😀 cheers...Andy&Michelle
Wow We have not watched both of you for some time. you are still two Barmy daredevils. taking the toughest route, ( I would make the wife Carry me he he he ) it was nice to you still stop for tea / dinner/ and CAKES? love the views you two are just a beautiful couple enjoying life, it was a pleasure to watch just sub again best wishes Ken and Christine xxx (yea old codgers)
My first video after meeting with you at Van Life Festival. This vlog is fantastic in its presentation. Very entertaining. Enjoy. I have a piccy of Andy and Lynn from VLF, don't know how to post it?

Great vlog love wales and you have give me some great ideas for my next trip. Did you do a quick change act in the restaurant looks like a change of clothing and hair style 🤔
Thanks Michael, great to hear we've given you some ideas. Yes the continuity in the restaurant was a shock to us when we watched it back, does look a bit weird! its all from the same meal - it was getting cold sat outside so Michelle put an extra layer on - didn't notice the hair , oh dear!🤣 Cheers...Andy&Michelle
"Just down there"... It's a bit of a slog over the top! - one of my favourite bike rides. Do you take your car with your motorhome to a lot of places to go to?
It is a great ride there, we really enjoyed it but thank goodness for the "e" in our bikes!!😀 one we'll definitely do again when we are in the area😀 We almost never take the car but we combined the trip with a bit of house hunting, cheers...Andy&Michelle
Was going to suggest coed y brenin and then boom part 2 😁 also try Nant y arian near Aberystwyth nice campsite called woodlands near devils bridge #walesneverfails 😁
Yes...it was a really nice ride, our rucksacks are Lowe Alpine, we've had them quite a few years now but they have served well, they are vented and have space for a water reservoir, Cheers...Andy&Michelle
Great vids guys thanks 😊 looking to head over that way later this year, quick question .. take it you used the car to park for the walk up cader idirs ?? Do you think it’s possible to park a motorhome there for a few hours while we do the walk ??
Thanks 😊, it used to be a stopover so should be ok to park while you do the hike, we don’t remember seeing any height barriers when we were there but there are signs saying no overnight, there’s a CL site very close too on search for sites😀 cheers..Andy&Michelle
Love your videos! We visited north wales earlier on in the year and attempted mount snowdon with 3 kids and a dog! The video is on our channel if you wanted to check it out! We have subscribed to your channel. Keep up the good videos!
