God he was so horrible. I have gone back and watched some old episodes and the change in Maxine is unreal. He literally strips away everything that made her HER and changed everything about her right down to what she could wear. Very sad, but a reality for many people. This is so hard to watch.
Even though these scenes are rehearsed and mainly look real. You have to know that not all women get out in time. My own mother died of the hands of her live in lover. He actually killed my mother with his bare hands. Even though we all told her to leave him. She couldn't. So to do scenes like this is good, but they calmed down just a bit on the abuse.
watching this i feel sad for Maxine, she very nearly got away from that abuser, i hope hollyoaks is not planning to get her killed off with a baby in her belly? that is just sick killing a pregnant woman
