I really do hope Ruesha gets another club and very soon. Look at Rachel Williams, 37, managed well and a killer sub on the pitch. 34 is not old these days. Ruesha is one of the best players for tracking back in a game. Would do wonders for a Championship team. So much more left to give.

I don't understand what is disgraceful? What have the club done wrong? They had the opportunity to sign someone with more experience at a higher level.. its sad and all for Ruesha personally but the club did what any other club would've done

I’m Australian and even I can tell those are Scottish accents. Rue had options on which country she can play for based on where her family members were born. Same with Mary Fowler (PNG/Ireland) & Sam Kerr (India/England).
I feared the worst for Ruesha when I saw LCL had signed Kumagai and Godfrey, who are both great players (at opposite ends of their careers), as is Rue herself, but unfortunately the old sore achilles probably tipped the balance. Hope she finds another club asap. Would be ironic if she re-signed for Birmingham City and they got promoted instead of LCL ;)

I said prior to Chloe Kelly’s major injury that the English Women’s football fans were overvaluing her and needed to wait to see if she continued to develop. She’s good on the ball but her decision making, passing, and finishing just still is sub-par.

Messy club. We all hurt when Ruesha is hurting. So disrespectful to have her training up until Christmas & then training after Christmas… it’s very obvious it was a sudden decision. Nasty stuff from them.

Other league or team further down the table is only sensible option. And to go to a derby rival? Madness!
If Kelly was on loan to City she wouldn’t be allowed to play against United and as they’ve played all the WSL Manchester derbies for this season this could only happen in FA & League Cup matches.
It happens all the time. Loans are made so players can accrue minutes and the experience.

Success in getting that spot is essential to each club... you cannot give any benefit to the opposition. You're damaging your own teams' chances. Hence why if in the same league it has to be to a team in middle or bottom half.

The problem is there isn’t enough teams in the WSL, so it limits options for Chloe Kelly, I think it’s inevitable that players can end up with direct rivals , She needs to be playing, end of so if it’s at united so be it.

He didn’t enjoy that aspect. While I totally support equity for women in football, I don’t believe that athletes, male or female, should be earning such a high salary to the point of players acting like they are entitled to all kinds of special treatment, and behaving badly. In my opinion, the salaries for male players are ridiculous. Players, female or male, should be well paid, a better than living wage, but not to the point where they become arrogant and unpleasant to deal with. Anyway, I realise that this is not the current thinking in professional sports.

@goldboy150 you may be correct. hard to find the transfer record for Sam Kerr. I thought is was 200K GDP followed by Pernille Harder 250K GDP. Chicago Red Stars performance was steaming, She is quoted as saying at the time that she would be leaving Red Stars and the W League to move to Europe. All the media focus was on the huge salary awarded to her by Chelsea.
@ it was the end of her contract - she was a free agent and was choosing between Lyon and Chelsea as to where to sign. There was no transfer fee for Kerr.

Correction Shebanh, because you're the 4th sports news channel that has fudged Emma Hayes's actual words. What she said was that Naomi Girma was THE BEST defender she has EVER SEEN, not ONE of the best. People say ONE of the best all the time so Emma was very deliberate about not using standard language. She went over and above because she wanted to leave no doubt just how good she thinks Naomi Girma is, knowing that it would become a meme of a quote.
So, as journalists (cos like I said it's not just you), you should at least get the quote right, in line with her intention.

At the end of the episode we didn’t get the truth about Ruesha.
The episode was still good… Her comments on Freya was excellent (shame it needed to be said) and her comments about Rue from a sister’s perspective was also excellent.. As you mentioned was good to know about the watch along. So I did liked (✅) and have already subscribed 🙂 to the episode/channel.
But the previous person wasn’t wrong about it being clickbait… Probably could have been less aggressive on how it was worded but not wrong.
Unfortunately, clickbait is a powerful social media tool that lots of people use because it actually works. We can’t blame Shebahn for doing it but doesn’t mean it didn’t happen.

@ga222-g1k and why are you here? Ruesha has lots of “mates” or alumni to draw upon based on her successful track record. Have you not watched her play last year with LCL and Ireland? She will be ok, hope she stays in UK though. Her “mate” btw, coached Under 23 England and also kept LCL out of relegation last year.
