Using the crown to wind the watch is difficult, *but* the Seiko 5s were intended to be a person’s only watch. The assumption is that a person would wear this every day since it has enough water resistance for sporting activities. I’m happy Seiko stayed true to the original. This is one re-issued that Seiko hasn’t screwed up. The watch band is painful to size, but I like it. I did buy a razor bracelet, and it looks quite retro with it. Nice review!
Thanks! Yes, I also love the main design idea behind these seiko 5s. It brought automatics to the masses at that time. I'm quite used to the bracelet at this point. It would looks cool on a razor!
It's the global K1 version so it was probably made in China or Malaysia. My SNK381 Seiko 5 came with a "Made in China" sticker on the caseback, so lots of the Seiko 5's were made there, while the somewhat higher tier Seiko divers like the discontinued SKX and the modern turtles came from the Malaysian factory.
Good decision, second hand prices have allready gone up, it will be a future classic soon.. The design come from one of the golden years of Seiko, when they made some of the most beautiful and remarkable watches.
Yes, I saw them, but the dials are too busy and colorful for my taste. I prefer more simple and clean looking dial designs. And I think Seiko is too lazy for using this SKX case everywhere. But the Honda Cub dials are definately unique.
@@at1m6nn I tried pushing in the direction of the arrows shown on the bracelet but failed. I'm trying with a sim card pin. Maybe I need to push a little harder. Thanks a lot.
@@at1m6nn I understand I'll take it to a watchmaker later without much hassle. Thank you. It's a really nice watch by the way. I wish you to use it with health.

Where was it made? Since it doesn't say "Made in Japan"

Sexiest watch ever made by Seiko. I have two of them. One for carrying, the other one I´ll keep unboxed.

Have you seen the Seiko honda sports club collaboration just seen the blue one looks amazing

Is it pins and collars or regular pins?
It has regular pins.
Hi, How did you remove the pins on the bracelet? Push or screw?
Simple push pins without collars.

@@gufomag Mine was resized by a watchmaker for free. Even for him it was a hard task. He used professional tools like tweezer and hammer.

Does the bracelet pulls hair?
Just a little bit, but it's barely noticeable.
It does a little but not as much as you might think.
