  • In this video I mod the Mechanic DT-3 USB tester board so that it can be powered by a USB C-C cable instead of just USB A-C one.

Thanks for the tip with the Mechanic DT3. I will probably buy it too :)

Do you think using a USB D lead would work?

Hi, could you explain to me, why at 2:33. you plug in both endings of the cable on one side of the tester?
I think you should plug in one side of the cable in one side of the tester and the other side of the cable into the other side of the tester?
Best regards and sry for my English ..

I can easily explain that. It was a mistake :P You were the first one to spot it!. It should have been plugged from Type A at top to Type C on the bottom. The outcome would be the same however, so I'm not too worried.

Hello friend, are you still using the Xsoldering Pro station? Gradually, my C210 soldering iron started to log off and yesterday it stopped working completely. Doesn't work with any tip :(

Yup, still using the Xsoldering Pro station although for this I used a different station the GVM-H3 with Nano Iron due to the ridiculously small size of the leads I was soldering.
