None when you get back on stage, falco is at mid or long range and an obvious laser about to come at you, you always run up and try to powershield it and you are always ending up getting hit or getting put in a really bad spot after doing this. Same thing happens when you play mango, it's such a predictable situation and they are so used to people doing walk up powershield that you are falling into some sort of clever trap by these falcos. At the world stage falco is owning falcon in this matchup, if you are going to beat mango there needs to be a totally different approach in these spots. I don't know what but watch your games with mango recently, find the situation, pause and theorycraft.
Idk. I do something similar. People tell me I have bad habit of predictable ledge dashes, but they never give me a reason to stop. Like I’m fully aware of my inputs, so it’s kinda on you to make me stop or change it up. Sometimes you just don’t need to adapt here or there to win, especially if you’re winning neutral more often than your opponent
Lord Wavy there’s never a specific right answer, it’s all timing based/spot recognition (on the ledge at least). If they can’t beat ledgedash you might not have to stop doing it, but once they show you they have it on lock you have to assess the situation and mix it up

I feel like there’s two sides to that coin. If people who are salty about laser spamming can admit that it’s an advantage that has every right to be used, then people who laser spam should also be willing to admit that it’s still kinda lame.
@@sebin5216 I used to think laser spamming was lame until I realized literally every character in melee has their lame bs. It's just a part of the game. At least Ginger's lasers are well placed and thought out, unlike half the falcos on netplay who laser just for the sake of lasering.
@@sebin5216 shooting 2-3 lasers in neutral engagements is not lame considering falco is slow af and if he didnt have lasers he would easily have one of the worst neutrals in the top 10
Aefax Every character has their distinct advantages, and I just think some of those advantages are lamer than others. At the top level, you have to incorporate some kind of lame advantage to win consistently. That’s just Melee. All I’m saying is that I think lasers are higher on the “lame scale” compared to other characters’ advantages. I don’t think that’s an unfair opinion
