Great video. Back in the 80s my dad used to take me plane spotting down at Midway. I love driving past ORD and seeing the planes take off. I'll be on a UAL 757-200 in a couple weeks in polaris. Excited.
I love the fact that you let us the viewers see the entire aircraft in action unlike most spotters who like zooming into the aircraft and show a part of the aircraft instead of whole. If i see someone trying to zoom during runway action, i just click out. Your vids stand out. Kudos
Those 747's are still monsters. I built a LOT of parts for 747 and 777 aircraft when I worked for Boeing. It still amazes me those engines run for extended hours on overseas flights with no issues. Rolls and GE make a very reliable engine. Those GE 90 engines are real screamers. Can't mistake that wing flex on a 777 787.
Cool one as always. We also had a Volaris A320neo in storage here at Erfurt (ERF/EDDE) the last few weeks alongside some others, all Airbuses produced in Hamburg that couldn't be delivered (mostly Chinese and other Asian airlines e.g. IndiGo). Apron was full. Also liked the Frontier tail with the puffin on, I use Puffin Browser so I find that reference ironic. Funny bird. Stay safe!
Awesome! If only the Wright brothers could have been alive today to see how far we’ve come. I can say though that I’ve actually touched down on that airport. Chicago is a beautiful city.😊
@Lepp Aviation - Yeah, that would be something indeed. I’ve never seen it in person, but I get absolutely mesmerized every time I see a good video of it on YT.😊 That airplane is in a class by itself. It’s an engineering masterpiece.
Awesome video! I was in the Chicago area that day, although I didn't get to see these catches, I watched aircraft which arrived later into the evening.
Always nice to see a Grand Caravan get into the mix. :) I always like the bulky look they have for a prop plane. Also around 12:12 I never heard of a Tecnam. I mean we used to have Cape Air in Albany with more tinier planes but that Tecnam P series is a new version I never heard of before. :O Butter landing.
Was there really only 3 UAL arrivals during the entire time of filming? Or did you happen to skip some of them? Aside from the pandemic, I would've thought there'd be at least a few more, especially at their main hub.
osufann69 I didn’t film every airplane, this was filmed over the course of 4 hours. Plus there were two other arrivals runways in use so many aircraft used those as well
Another great video! Thank you for sharing! It looks like you're on the north side of the airport off of Touhy. Is it place where anyone can plane spot?
@@LeppAviation You know, at first I wasn't sure I liked it for the reason that it really wasn't much of a departure from the Continental merger, but honestly, it is starting to grow on me more and more! I like how the lighter shades of blue give it a more modern feel!
@ananthakrishnan sriraman it depends on the aircraft but usually a large aircraft like an Airbus or Boeing would land at roughly 130 knots which is equal to around 160 miles per hour
Like Conor said, all depends on the aircraft. The Cirrus I fly lands under 75 knots, while jets are anywhere up to 210 knots on the very high end. A normal airliner will land around 130-140 knots
When I was a kid, we used to go hangout at OHare, just to watch these monsters land. In the terminal, Back in the day, b4 9/11 bullshit and restrictions.
Is anyone actually flying on transatlantic / transpacific flights these days, with the immigration/travel ban in the USA? Like the Lufthansa machine or the Delta plane from FRA, or the United machine to Hong Kong. Wonder if there actually passengers on them.
AWESOMENESS!!! Thanks for the hard work putting these marvelous compilations together

Damn! This helped me navigate through the video a whole lot easier! Great work!
I’ve always loved & marveled over the power of the takeoff & landing!
I love the sound of brakes screaming down the runway.
Great video, mate! WONDERFUL!

Nice! I’m in hog heaven watching planes landing at O’Hare like this.
Outstanding. 1st class plane spotting.
Here comes the tiny Cessna 208 at 1:48 and after that comes the ginormous 777-300ER at 2:32. 🤩
Lufthansa 747-8 is gorgeous!

EXCELLENT VIDÉO 👌 THANKS 🙏 Hi from France 🇨🇵🇺🇸
Another brilliant compilation.

I’ve always thought about stuff like that.. Could you imagine them looking at the AN-225 flying? That would be something to see..

I love the Evansville flight arriving in Chicago and that’s where my parents and I come in on American Eagle.

Absolutely Staggering ORD Spotting once again Lepp!!! Huge Like

Lufthansa 747 ❤❤❤.... This video is awesome!!
Loved thos Eva Air Triple 777S
I'll donate money to Lufthansa if they keep flying their 747-8s.
Same
I don’t like the 747 in my opinion
Hey Lepp Aviation one day you should Do plane spotting at Chicago midway Airport.
For sure!
Hardly any traffic at midway now...thanks corona!!!!....
Great video bro!!
Love from Indonesia ❤️
More O'Hare awesomeness. Loved it. :)
Man that 777 from Eva looked a little but shakey coming in haha

Those small planes scare me I only get on the big ones haha
Good plane spotting. I'm so glad that you caught the Qatar Airways Airbus A350-1000. While you're in Chicago, do plane spotting at Midway Airport.
Me too! And yes, I am definitely looking for places to spot at MDW
11:10 air India❤❤
Great video. I wonder how often the tires on a large passenger airline or need to be changed. It’s got to be a lot!
spirit airlines: we give u butter during a butter landing
OMG COOL
Is anchorage a massive freight hub or something?

Wonderful👏👏👏👍👍👍
Beautiful, we often watch the heavies from delta cargo, probably seen you there. BTW, how did you know the 747 cargos were atlas, they were unmarked?
You can just barely see that it says Atlas Air on the nose, and also you can search the plane's registration number to find its owner.
Where do you film at I am trying to find some good places to take pictures
Do you ever use the digital zoom on the AX53, or just clear image and optical?
is this the parking lot right after s access road from irving park rd?
This man needs to go back to GRR
Haha yes! When the flights pick up again it will be awesome!
Wonderful spotting of heavies ..I just have a question normally at what speed does a plane makes landing ??

I’m always looking for one of my airports flights, I’m based in CMI haven’t caught one in one of your videos yet...
Do u have any plane spotting videos at Denver international airport?
You should come to Dallas after this
😍😍😍😍😍
Saudia flies into ORD now??
Nope, just a cargo flight
Can I ask a question that in Saudi air American people travel
You gotta be kidding me i didnt never saw Saudia in O'hare
Wait you cought 2 planes in 4K huh 🤨📸
I thought the DL cargo 777 flts were ending out of ORD
Tashkent - ,Astana - New York - Chicago
I go CRAZY when i see planes so i checked my piggy bank i had loads of MONEY so i can buy thousands of plane models
Where are the best places to plane spot at ORD?
Why the disparity in flt times on the ANC-ORD flts
Why so much cargo from/to Alaska?
@Steve A Ah! Seems obvious now

A majority of long haul flights in the air right now are only cargo
Where do you spot
I can spot a Air India 777 here ❤🇮🇳
why was that b747 blank with no livery?
FF-9LILIWI-YT It’s Atlas Air, who knows lol
Title: Beautiful Afternoon *Arrivals*

Can you do a video in Texas? Preferably DFW or IAH
There many Anchorage Alaska flights
Haha
What's with the unmarked white 747's? It looks suspicious!
