I really like it that CB has launched this second starter set and the 300 points boxes. It distributes the love among several factions, instead of having a company favourite and the corresponding temptation to bend the rules to make one army sell more.

I really hope that the Beyond boxes come with a tutorial rulebook that expands on the tutorials in the original sets. Playing through Operation: Red Veil was fun, but didn't really prepare me to play Infinity in full

I have been looking at this game for a while but just got into warhammer with my brother, however I love smaller squad gameplay and would love to try this game, but still have no money.
Question: Could the Hsein have taken a shot at the sniper on the roof? The rules say that the Hsein COULD disengage with the Fiday since it is unconscious, but only mentioned spending a short order move in order to do so. Since the Hsein had not done that, he would still be engaged, no? Meaning he couldn't have shot back, and the Haqq sniper should have been firing into CC? It's a little convoluted as the text implies that you must spend to disengage, but others (and this video) seem to show that the disengagement is at the discretion of the remaining trooper.
From my understanding of the game rules Carlos would have had to move out of base-to-base contact from an order spent, move as a result of a dodge, or perform a Coup de Grâce to cancel the engaged state. So if Carlos never moved the Hsein he would be limited to dodging the sniper shot to break his current engaged state, but not allowed to shoot back until after doing so.
Really looking forward to trying to grab a box of this at GenCon. My Yu Jing need that excellent Dao, and the other two models are pretty good looking as well (if not as good overall as the Nomad figs imo).
Also the profiles for the Yu Jing look really fun to play with gets me more excited for when I go to gen con to get the exclusive stuff love the minis.

You can find a few vids of youtubers demonstrating the techniques in the book, checkout the '1 minute war' channel, for example.
Killian, did you choose your troop profiles before the game and make a decision not to include a medic? Or was the list provided by Carlos to speed up set-up time and filming of the bat-rep? Just interested to know why you didn't bring a medic...
I'm very excited to start playing this game. I even convinced my wife to try playing it with me. A friend of mine who was going through some hard times asked if I knew of a fun game to play and get started with. I had purchased a couple of cool looking Infinity Minis couple of years ago but never had anyone to play with. Well I told him he should consider Infinity so we could both learn. And now we're having a blast painting and putting them together. The neither of us has that much money we look forward to building armies from different factions
Good to see Carlos get a win after his previous defeat. Especially considering that YJ is my secondary faction. Now all we need is a PanO vs YJ match to find out who is the true Hyperpower!

I think BoW needs to have all of Corvus Belli over for a week of tournament-style showdowns, with Friday culminating in an epic 4-way brawl (i don't know if the rules would support more than 2-player games, but it would be awesome)

Wow. What an awesome opening. It didn't work out well for Killian, but seeing somebody use an infiltrator brought a real cinematic feel to things.
Tough to see how the expansion Haq models work when Yu-Jing's turn 1 incapacitates all of them. LOL

Something to keep in mind for the next match, change facing doesn't allow to move the 2 inches, so the Zhayedan wouldn't have been behind cover.

The YuJing's first turn was demolishing. The only mistake was the ARO with the Dao Fei in Haqqislam's first turn, but the battle was decided too early
