Babe wake up, new London Diaries just dropped
This comment is getting old, stop it already 😒
fr 😂
huge difference in the editing, feels like a movie daniel, i've been a fan of yours for like 4 years now, great to see you evolving like this.
Daniel, I have been absolutly loving the London diaries for a while, it's my favorite way to spend Sunday afternoons!💯
Agreed on that last bit. Nothing quite like running. It’s amazing how just something as simple as running can clear the mind and really put you in this mode where you feel like you’re in control. In my opinion you got the right mindset, don’t compare to anyone else and ideally just be as consistent as possible. Glad you’re getting that ability back slowly and it’ll come fully eventually I feel. Rooting for you Brodie. 🙏
By far your best episode yet Daniel, that chat at the end really resonated with me and I'm sure will resonate with so so many others!
Keep it up man :)
Hey Daniel, have you tried swimming yet? Theres an equivalent thing to a runners high while protecting you joints.
Did swimming for years because of a bad hip injury.
Greetings from Germany👏
Classic London Diaries Episode: Coffee and Pastries, Interior Design, Fashion, Sports, Meet ups, Personal Themes, GREAT (Jazz) Music ☺️ i Never miss an Episode
I never really comment on videos, in fact I think this may be the first ever comment ive made on one. but I wanted to say thank you for making these videos. I often watch whilst working at my desk ( job in which I hate) and your passion for what you do inspires me to find my own. please never stop creating, you're an inspiration.
use people as motivation not comparison, simple yet life-changing
Hi Daniel
I really enjoy watching your videos about fashion and interior design/decor. For your TV speakers, you might want to consider getting two Apple HomePods (in white): they would perfectly match with your set up.
Agreed
when you said, "me and my misses" my heart jumped with joy
Completely get the running thing. Tore my ACL and meniscus in high school. Found running as a post collage way to disconnect and be competitive with myself. Ended up running a marathon then got injured. As a better than avarage athlete (at least in high school) I looked at everything as a competition and or "training". As I get older i still care about being competitive but I feel less need to be competitive with others. Just be better than you were yesterday. Lastly. Try to get out of the city and do some trail running activates a completely different muscle group and weirdly helps my knee.
Great content. Give yourself grace. Injuries take time, expect setbacks, we are humans who repair at different rates. Thanks for sharing. Be well.
Hi Daniel, for sure it would help you to reduce oxalates, gluten and other antinutrients from your diet and increase the intake of meat and connective tissues from it. It would help to reduce inflamation in your joints and feel better. Paul Saladino animal based diet could be the better solution. Hope it helps!
pro tip when you open a tv, lay it down flat, open the bottom, then sit it up again, and slide the box up off of the tv.
Hi art handler here. Please don't have the candle burning ear the glass. The glass will crack due to the heat
I think just a warning, but if your candle dish isn't fire safe, that can go wrong pretty quick. I'd get something metal instead.
Was thinking the same. Looks great but, esp if unattended, an accident in the making..... 😬
The speech at the end was very nice and inspiring. Keep it up Daniel.
Big bro Daniel,
it’s all going to be alright. Be positive and keep moving forward.
You can do this! 💪🏽
From Joseph
Being a UK guy, you gotta check out KEF speakers. They sound great have have plenty of options for different budgets. Pretty sure you will appreciate the aesthetics of them too.
Daniel, you should try swimming, it goes easy on the knee and it’s one of the best exercises out there, keep it up!
2:56 If budget is not an issue, then I will always recommend BOSE speakers.
Daniel Simmons, Your videos always brighten my day, so I subscribed!
Thank you for sharing this, mate. It shows how everybody has a small inner struggle with something, even if you apparently look like a model role, good physique, good vibes, inspiring others, etc...Even you can have something that makes you suffer and that's ok and make us feel motivated to keep pursuing our goals as you are, even in your highs and lows. You are an inspiration, Daniel. ✌🏻
what is the name of the song at 9:50
Sonos Arc with a couple of Sonos Era 100s is the play bro
All good,.... but.. the last part.. On the couch.. enjoying TV... Maaan... Relaxed my whole world., 🌛🌜
Great video man, love the chat at the end. You have a great mindset.
KEF LSX 2 speakers. Small but mighty. Good design. Decent choice of colours.
Another lovely vlog. It’s comforting seeing you express your mindset of accepting that things arent great in the moment but knowing it will get better. Definitely need to learn more of that mentality. Thank you, Daniel!
Kef LSX ii lt speakers!!! Would look amazing in your space. Truly enjoy watching your videos each week.
Speaker rec: kef q150s
They look beautiful, sound is fantastic and full, don’t need a sub, and are great for music or tv. You can pick up a pair for $300 when they go on promo, retail $600
Been in the same place with injuries or breaks from training many times. Totally agree to focus on the micro improvements, but also to two additional things: trust in the process (especially good if you have a coach or similar) and to always remember that you are comparing yourself to the small percentage of people who are doing what you do. When compared to the mass who never run or try a new sport, you are in the absolute top percentage. A bit like mourning the last 100m of a climb and forgetting the 4,000m you’ve already climbed to get there. Anyway that’s how I convince myself I’m not shit 😂
2:52 You should go for some Klipsch speaker, maybe The Sevens or The Nines. They are powered so the room will remain looking clean, and they have a cool vintage look to them, not to mention the probably would sound amazing too, I know that Klipsch knows how this stuff it´s done.
You often freeze me with the wonderful cinematic skill! Love the coffee dates, also looking in a great shape D.
18:30 didnt know these existed and I probably should have never found out lol
saying hi from Mex, just want to ask which model are you´re running shoes, I think they´re Saucony but which model are those, looks fire btw!!
You should consider a pair of klipsch bookshelf speakers, they sound wonderful (from an audiophile perspective) and typically look beautiful !
thanks for saying that about comparing ourselves to other people. as a 30 something who struggles with weight and exercise, it is nice to hear someone fit resonate similar struggles as I do. cheers all
I'd recommend the Kef LSX II LT or non-LT if you intend to use a turntable in the future. They look great and sound great. It's also perfect if you want a minimal plug and play solution.
I just wanted to mention I have been through the same knee issues because of football. After 2 surgeries and lots of rehab it’s still not the same as before, it’s “unfair” somehow, my friends who never did sports can run without issues and if i do 2km i start feeling poking😅. Rehab did help but consistency is the hard part, I hope you will get better!
Hey Daniel, which color grading effect are you using for your RUclips videos? Thanks!
Omg I love this Rafaello ice cream! According to your mental health - remember you have a lot people around the world whose fingers crossed for you. I have similar problems with legs like you but now you are the winner and i am the... well loser.
Careful with super super super cheap candles! They are made with plastic and if you burn them alllll the time you’re breathing that in! I highly reccomend beeswax based pillar candles because they burn super slow and well typically!
it definitely wouldn't be functional for you, but for whatever reason i think that the JBL L52 with the cover would look nice. imho the nicest looking speakers out there
I hope we see a Daniel Simmons pop-up store in London soon!
Bro, get the Sonos beam. Great quality, small and aesthetically pleasing
Have you taken up swimming? Might relieve the pressure on the knee a bit whilst still getting exercise. Although probs never gonna match the high of a run
A sonos beam would look great and if you want, you can add two sonos one sl or era 100s and you'll have a stellar setup for watching tv and movies. I had this setup and regret selling.
i've struggled with knee issues since i was ten. nothing as bad as what you are describing, but it has limited me when it comes to exercise and activities. i've been using some to the stuff the Knees Over Toes guy on RUclips does and even though i'm inconsistent with it, it has helped. I would recommend diving into his material and ease into some of his stuff.
Damn, why do these black sweatpants in the beginning look so chic? Are they DS or where are they from?
Maybe drinking less coffee will help your knee pain, or take B vitamins every day
Sonos is an awesome speaker ecosystem. It is scalable, so you can add surround speakers and a sub at a later time. They also sound incredible and can be tuned automatically for your space through their app.
Can anyone please ID the song that was played? Love it! Thank you. 🙏🏼❤️
Honestly I love the color of that sample cashmere scarf please release it in that color!! If NOT, can I have one??
quick question here, obviously you aesthetics are amazing be it home decor or style, but how to you store that many shoes in your home without stuffing your home?
you're probably fine... but wood and candles don't sit well with me
i don't know Daniel, i just feel like at this point you are my friend, we have lots of things in common, i just kinda see me in you, nice video anyway
LOL the tv box slides up and away leaving the tv standing for easy setup
which ring are you wearing at 06:40?
looks sick! can you link it below? :)
Correct DS-I hate skimpy lapels. The bigger the better.
Daniel! Can you tell me how do you find a bunch of cozy music for you videos?
I’m just patiently waiting for the grey knit to restock
At first I thought the denims look to worn. But once you put them on they look good. The long length brown coat suits them .
Hi Daniel. As someone that used to be a fat kid running is what changed my life. As I grew out of my teens and into an adult running became my therapy along with yoga. The clarity of thought it gives you is incomparable. However, a very minor car accident caused me to develop a hamstring issue, which turned out to be a spinal issue and in February 2024 i had to have a disc surgery. However, prior to the surgery I had to stop working out and after 8 months of no exercise my body went to crap. Now, i'm finally back and slowly starting to run again, and swim (swimmings great for any type of bone/spinal issue) and so its a learning curve. Thinking that my body will never go back to being what it was before the surgery was a re-occurent thought but, oh well, nothing in life stays the same. But, it's how we adapt and become a better version of ourselves that sets the champions apart from the ordinary. In the words of Kris Jenner - YOU'RE DOING AMAZING SWEETY.
Last part hitting. That comparisons just ruin motivation, and thats pretty hard to move on.
If you prefer to not have a TV in the room, is there any reason you're not going for the projector option?
Where did you get your coffee table and the tv-table from?
The apartment is big considering its in London
I love orange. Make it Persimmon and you will sell a ton.
Where is that cal from from the beginning? Is it leather?
Can you drop your muay thai pant's brand ? look sick
will there ever be a time where you sell old samples off to clear out? love that overcoat!
Keep going DS, rUN FOREST RUN...
someone please tell me what sofa he has in the living room. looks really nice!
Burning candles in you’re isn’t really healthy…
Are we gonna ignore how HUGE that match was 😂
What is that foldable vacuum? I need that
Kanto TUK, great sound, great look.
What’s on the wrist today? 👀
Why you didn’t get the frame TV?
Loving the aesthetics as always
8:26 Activated my Alexa. Nice one XD
7:37 loving the top down shots :)
I can relate so much with focusing on self-care and micro-improvements. For years, I struggled with a nagging shoulder impingement. Then, last spring after a long period of dedicated rehabilitation, I was back to the gym lifting heavy weights, it was such a great relief. However, during the summer holiday in Greece, I had a motorcycle accident that aggravated my shoulder injury once again. It was a devastating setback and I had to start the recovery process again. I was gutted. Now, it's been a few months since I am feeling much better and have resumed my heavy training regimen. As you wisely said, it's all about acceptance, self-awareness and approaching each day with patience and determination.
On a different note, you might already know, but there is a RUclips channel called @The Kneeovertoesguy which is all about knee recovery.
Thank you for the video.
I’ll buy it, if you tell me to 😊 Findom 😈❤️😈
Just be you not them! You are doing very well! On suggestion about your apartment, everything looks new, try adding so used pieces from thrift of consignment places! It will soften the look! Think of something from your youth! Lobe your bids and your clothes!
It doesn't look good, but it's going to get better. Love it
Highly recommend getting Apple's Homepods for your speakers. They connect easily to an Apple TV if you have it, and you can buy two for a stereo pair!
Hi! Loved your content. Handwritten to-do-lists are a must. ☺ Greetings from México.
Yo, Danny is on the Fallout series as well! Good stuff. I've only seen ep1, so i paused right away xD
Keep it up Dan. I've got a similar thing with my lower back as well. I've come into terms that the injury will never go away, but stretches, good sitting posture & exercises are the best medicine. Totally get the adrenaline rush from running. Really whines me up when I can't get a run in.
*Totally* sympathise about the knee - I've had 2 arthroscopies on my left knee, and years later, it's impacting my training in a very big way. Running is one thing that it messes up, and I've had/have long-term issues with my calves and my Achilles (i.e. tendonitis). Can't squat, so it's difficult to weight train my legs. I used to be a club swimmer; I was a 100m breaststroker. My breaststroke kick was my biggest strength, and now obviously that's gone to complete sh*t also, although it's not affected my butterfly noticeably. So yeah, totally with you on that one.
Hearing you talk about the way running makes you feel but you are held back by your injury, I know it can definitely be scary or hard to pickup, but something that gives that same feeling without all the joint pain(it can actually help joints) is swimming! I have been a runner and a swimmer all my life and I really struggle with running due to past injuries but swimming has filled that void for me.
You will feel INCREDIBLE after a good swim session and it’s a full body workout! Cannot recommend it more. Never too late to pick it up!
What's the brand of stand your tv is set on?
Sonos speakers are phenomenal.
They are extremely easy to setup and operate. They connect to your WiFi and you can link various speakers together wirelessly. They look sleek and the sound quality is unmatched. You can easily build out a system by purchasing just the soundbar, then a sub, and remote speakers.
During house parties, I’ll remove the satellite speakers (that I use for surround sound) and throw them around different parts of the house to have a constant flow so music.
Catching up on your videos bro! To touch on the end bit, perspective is everything. I think it’s easy to get caught up in how great everyone else is doing and see only the positive experiences they share. I have no clue what it is but with your videos, I find myself inspired. Rather than just comparing my life to how glamorous yours is, I find myself motivated to achieve. Sorry for the ramble but always appreciate your content and your genuineness!
Loved this one. That TV is absolutely gorgeous - I have a white TV in my bedroom, they're an underrated TV frame colour. PS: Finally picked up a London Diaries white tee recently! It's beautiful. Still haven't got to wear it because of the weather here in the UK 😭
Recently picked up the Elac x Adsum Debut Connex bookshelf speakers. Love that they're so versatile and can connect via Bluetooth, turntable, or TV, also sound so good and are a beautiful design
Hey brother,
Been loving and following long time. Always love how you continue to grow and just be yourself, keep it up. A great speaker for just a stand alone without a sub or surround sounds would be the Sonos Arc. Phenomenal speaker that is super easy to install and use. Sound beautiful like the sound comes from all around you.
You may be having knee issues post Muay Thai because of your form. I’d like to think your trainer would correct you. You need to turn your hips over rather than stopping short when you kick. Lots of good tutorials on RUclips. I also have bad knees and MT is unique in that it doesn’t affect them.
