Just traded in my 2016 Durango R/T for a new Ram 1500. My R/T was completely loaded with every bell and whistle. I have to say it was an awesome vehicle and I do miss it. I was looking to get a new one but the incentives from Dodge were not enticing enough for me to get a new one. I seriously advise anyone who is considering a new Durango to go ahead and get the R/T trim, you won't regret it!
I got a 2019 awd rt for 26 k 80 k miles and love the new grill looks menacing srt I was going to get a challenger 392 but my girl like what about us n the kids 😅
You don’t need to click the black button that’s just for locking it the only reason it opened was because you put your hand 🖐around the handle which is where it unlocks
Some of your specifications are incorrect. Towing capacity for one. And the button on the door handle is to lock the truck it unlocks automatically when you put your hand behind the handle as long as the key is on you.
the black button isn't to open it's to lock. you don't need to lock to start it auto-locks for you. the srt tows 8400 not the rt. wish you had your facts together.
There is one thing that has always bothered me about these Durangos. They have standard halogen yellow interior lights. On top of that, the map lights are soldered LEDs. It makes it hard to change it all to white interior lights. It's very sad that Dodge doesn't have an upgrade package to white and or change everything to stock white on such a premium vehicle.
Very good job but you didn't show how the rear seat tv's work and that vehicle model didn't come with the hellcat hood but still nice and powerful. Thanks
The two errors in the video got a thumbs down from me sorry. 1. They are HID headlights, not LED. 2. To unlock and open the door, just grab the handle while having the key in your pocket. The black button is for locking only.
I know I’m late but I think his point was to show you can unlock the car with the key in your hand. I don’t think he intentionally meant that you need to lock it first lol.
@@BrosFOURRSpeed I mean why buy a fast car if you’re gonna curse. I want to buy it bc I need room for my wheelchairs but also want speed. My charger now goes that fast n it’s an SXT. Feel like the R/T just has a faster start up n short burst speed, could be wrong
Lots of mistakes. Here are two quickies you make in just the first two minutes: Durango R/T does NOT have LED headlights. They are Bi-Xenon HID Also, the R/T you reviewed has a tow capacity of 7200 pounds, not 8700. 8700 applies ONLY to the SRT with the bigger engine and beefier suspension. I'll admit you've got polish and style. You're a fine presenter. But it's not supposed to be about you. It's about the car, which is why you should get the facts right.
While the 2019 Dodge Durango GT will come equipped with the same 3.6-liter V-6 engine rated for 295 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, it will come standard with LED fog lights and a front performance fascia also shared with the R/T and SRT models.Jul 12, 2018
The 2019 Dodge Durango ranks in the bottom half of the midsize SUV class. It has unwieldy handling, a poor predicted reliability rating, and low safety scores. There's little to like about this Dodge that you can't find elsewhere in the class in a better overall package.
The Durango is designed as a traditional Sports Utility Vehicle built on a RAM truck frame. The points you listed are from cars.usnews. That list you're referring to supposedly ranks "all midsize suvs". Anyone that knows cars will disregard that list and cars.usnews credibility as a reliable source of information. 70% of the vehicles in that line up are lame crossovers that arent even in the same performace/maintenance class as midsize/full size SUVs. The fact that they recommend you to buy a mazda instead-as a competing vehicle in this 'class' - is a joke. Predictability - If you cant afford to buy and maintain a pick up truck. Dont buy this vehicle. Its not a CRV or Kia Sportage. Its a spots utility vehicle. Pick your model according to your needs. Not according to what you can afford. Most people cant afford this vehicle. Turning - Theres nothing wrong with the turning response of this vehicle. Its a stretch to have listed it as a con. Safety - If you cant afford great car insurance, dont expect air bags to do any better on any vehicle.
Pray tell it may not be no BMW or Audi or Mercedes style interior but it's pretty decent for its class. Especially when you compare it to the Bland looking Expedition and snooze Fest looking Chevy Tahoe which it competes against.
You are a person who really knows how to do a car review

Thank you for the awesome review!
Glad it was helpful!
It really was. We are looking at this exact year and trim in this color. You did a good job going through it.
In a 15 minutes you tell a history of dodge 👍👍great job man .. this is a very good SUV .. hope i can get one of them ✋ ...
I will be driving this vehicle in less than 30 days and I thank the lord for it right now all in agreement with me type amen 🙏🏾
Very cool, congrats! It's a cool dodge suv for sure!
You don't press the lock button when opening the door, there is a capacitive strip inside that unlocks the doors. Just grab the handle firmly
13:37 I can just imagine giving passengers a nasty surprise when you hit headrest fold on the entertainment console :P
You don’t need to click the black button that’s just for locking it the only reason it opened was because you put your hand 🖐around the handle which is where it unlocks
Would double check those towing numbers... I have the 18 R/T and it's tow rated for 7400 lbs
Great video man!!! I love the 2019 Dodge Durango RT! It's very nice!!! I can't wait for y'all next video.
Thank you for the best review I've watched.
Glad you liked it!
If you could have a Palisade or this (non SRT) what would you pick
The Hyundai Palisade! It has so much more to offer!
@@BrosFOURRSpeed but this has the SUV Charger look and the available HEMI

Is this car has a v8 sound? Because i thing it sounds like a dodge charger
This is basically a Charger but in an SUV form ;)
Great review man 👍
Thanks!
My mom had a 2015-2014 hemi Durango. But living in Detroit at the time she made the mistake of not putting it in the garage and someone stole it.
I jus wanna know if this has the track mode
I can't remember. But if it did I showed the drive modes in this video
Useful than the cadillac escalade esv just because of the price comparaison
Yeah there is a big price difference!
I have this one but not the RT. I have the limited. This one looks the same as mines I just have one exhaust pipe but they are exact inside out
Very nice review. Thanks
Thanks for watching! Are you in the market for one?
wow very thorough review, excellent job.
Thanks!
Does it have Independant RWD? Require premium gas?
Awesome review ,How much is this exact same trim ???
Thank you for this review.🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
What's better this or the V8 Jeep Grand Cherokee?
the black button isn't to open it's to lock. you don't need to lock to start it auto-locks for you. the srt tows 8400 not the rt. wish you had your facts together.
What if there's a 2O2O Dodge Durango Scat Pack!?
It’s called a srt Durango pa
Love your videos, but there was a lot of incorrect info about this vehicle.
Like what?
Only the SRT can tow 8700 lbs, it has HID headlights to start...
True
Headlights are hid. Towing is wrong. Button does not have to be pressed on the door to open. Otherwise solid video.
@@sdot18 It has both actually, LED Daytime running lights, LED Fog Lights, HID Low Beams,
The R/T can not tow 8700 lbs.

That's because this model didn't have screens for the rear seat passengers lol so I can't show that..
Why does this only have 500 views? it deserves way more
Where did you get it could tow 8700 lbs?
ON the dodge performance website, shows the v6 tows up to 6200 and the Hemi is 8700.
The SRT is rated for 8700
The two errors in the video got a thumbs down from me sorry.

Very nice powerful vehicle, I love suvs with the dodge brand, great looking exterior too.
Awesome review! Would love to see a Duranga SRT walk around!
Is it a station wagon??
It's a full size SUV.
What you’ve never heard of a Durango before it’s been around since 1999. Obviously it’s a suv lol.
Nice dude
Pressing the black button on the door handle actually locks the doors
Nice
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video! The R/T is a great SUV!
5:52 The Uconnect touchscreen is like an iPad 😂 #Dodge
Actually I think it's better because unlike an iPad this system actually works LOL 😆😆
Boise City auto sports u probably use galaxy tab 😂 shut up you sound ridiculous
58k ? 😱😱😱
Dope
Cool SUV for sure!
I need this car 🙃🙃🙃
Oh yeah!! Perfect jumbo SUV with some style!
Dodge need a whole new Durango for 2020.... Kia, Ford, Lincoln and Hyundai has all new SUV coming out this summer 2020 SUV going to kill the Durango
Right! I've been saying that!.
billy williams I doubt it
2021 will be the update, not 2020
@@shaun2.021 you think they fell off?😂
This guys voice...
This Durango produces 1.5 pounds of dirty toe sock lintttttttttt
❤
Helps to actually know a vehicle before you review it. Everyone thinks they are a car reviewer anymore, sad.
What do you see wrong?
140 top speed is sad
Who is actually going to drive this 3 row vehicle that fast?

You obviously don’t know the segment very well it isn’t Lincoln or Cadillac.
It's actually based on a Mercedes platform.
Boise City Auto this competes more with the traverse and explorer, as the expedition and Tahoe are truck based, while this is car based
