Hi Tylee, I beg the differ. I fire close to a thousand rounds every year at steel targets 🎯 That is very different from having to take 1 perfect shot to dispatch an animal.

This is part of the process to bring meat to the table, I do not pick up my meat at the grocery store, I prefer to responsibility for the entire process. If your a vegan I respect your standpoint, if you eat meat I would argue that you support “murder” as you call it.

By culling selected animals from the herd, the balance between the available feeding opportunity and number of animals can be maintained. The alternative is that the animals starve to death, and the meat that could otherwise be used for human consumption is wasted.
Hi Zhanat Baiken, I respect your opinion on the equality between hunter and prey. However I can assure you that the precision shot of a rifle is the most efficient way to dispatch an animal. All parts of the animal is used from the hide, horn, meat right to the bone. Meat harvested from natures surplus is the most sustainable to get meat on the table. We all have different opinions, I respect your right to have yours.
Hi Bruce, What the movie might fail to show is the 2 hours spend, in -28 degree weather, on the snowmobile to get to the hunting area, the 10 km hike to get close to the animal, the belly crawl to get into position before a shot can be taken. Hunting is the entire experience, pulling the trigger is the last 5%.
Hi Gilren, Im Sorry but the ignorance is on you. The current musk ox population hunted in west Greenland 🇬🇱 is possible due to hunters. In the early 1960 an expedition funded by the danish royal family, collected 27 musk ox from the east coast of Greenland and keel eased them 2 years later in west Greenland. The musk ox population grow from 30+ animals to 3500 by the 1990 due to the commercial value the animal represented. The musk ox hunting is regulated and kept in balance to support the the hunting and gathering culture that still exists in Greenland today. So before you call peoples tradition and culture sickening, please walk a mile in their shoes first.
