Peter Pan and Wendy may have its flaws, but it’s much more polished and consistent than this mess
@@SuperMoviemaster21 I mostly disagree, in the 2023 film it doesn’t state that Nana is a nurse and if you didn’t know the story you would think she is their pet dog, the Lost Boys do not consider Wendy to be their mother and she doesn’t tell them the advantages of going to London where they will go to school and grow up, which makes her willing to sacrifice herself have less of an impact and them flying to London have feel bland, and lastly, the Lost Boys as a whole don’t have much of a character and if you took half of them out of the movie nothing would change, I also didn’t like the actor who played Slightly and he barely has any screen time or much of a character. While I did enjoy the backstory behind Peter and Hook’s feud and the ending where Peter came back to Neverland, the 2023 movie greatly deviated from the basic Peter Pan story that with the exception of the aforementioned backstory it was a Meh. This movie and the Pinocchio movie with Tom Hanks needed another 5-10 minutes of runtime to fully flesh some things out.
@@EpicJoshua314 Does it really matter if Nana is a nurse in this version?Again, they are going for a much more realistic kind of feel with it, and it doesn’t change the story whether or not it’s clearly established if she’s a “nurse” or not. Wendy subtly set examples for the lost from what she told them when they were in the hideout and threw her actions throughout the movie which actually shows how much stronger and better example of being a “mother” than the original works. I wouldn’t call the flight to London “land“ as one of the best moments in the movie (let alone what’s become one of my favourite cinematic moments to be honest :-) is when they fly through the clock Tower and it transcends them into Neverland :-) the lost children are still established enough, and they still do have their personalities and distinctions that will you be able to tell which one is different, again in a more realistic kind of setting
