    I've met a lot of those during my stay in Hong Kong i.e. a local foreigner speaking fluent Cantonese. This is what makes Hong Kong a nice place to stay 'cos ppl just look at you funny and be amazed at the same time. I don't see that in western countries like Canada, U.S., Australia etc. They just yell and swear at you if you don't speak English at all.

    Mr. Kin Man Li, in Hong Kong, people like Mr. Abbasi is a real Hong Konger, because he is proud of being a Hong Konger. But in China mainland, people like Mr. Abbasi will never be a real Chinese, even though he says he is proud of being a Chinese. It is the law, so sad but true.

      As I have lived in HK, UK, AUS, and mainland China. I can tell you that HK is already behind mainland China, and Shenzhen is now a far more developed city than HK and most of the so called "International Metropolis". You should be proud of being Chinese, coz without mainland China, HK will be a dead island in no time.

    • @eijikenji7149

      do you even check your passport?

      you are not hong konger
      you are chinese national with hk residency right.

    • @sopranods
      @sopranods 9 лет назад +5

      Sikeson L HK is already behind mainland China? Who are you trying to kid? Look at the amount of Mainlanders come to HK to shop everyday because China's produce is either fake or toxic, even their own people don't believe China. China is many decades behind HK, China people don't even know how to queue up. In Shenzhen and other cities, there're beggars chasing people for money and in HK, such behaviour is illegal. For over 150 years, HK has a perfect administrative system that is very similar to the UK and yet China don't even have a justice system. RUclips is banned in China! News are made up, no freedom of speech and no freedom of religion. China people will piss and shit in the street, this is not civilised.

    • @Chigga0510
      @Chigga0510 9 лет назад +1

      sopranods how ignorant. HK's GDP was officially taken over by few other mainland cities, and with the current trend, HK will soon become a 2nd tier city of China like Xi'an, Wuhan, and Hangzhou. Like I said, I had lived in HK, the biggest problem of HK is that the locals are close minded and blame everything at the Chinese government and the mainlanders. Look at what happened after the HK students protest against mainland visitors buying all their products. Now with the significant decline of mainland tourists, HK tourism industry had to suffer.
      HK was a British colony, and during British rule, the local residents never had any political rights. Now they protest against Chinese government because they thought they were once a democratic state. How pathetic is that.
      I have worked in China for 4 years, and I had never been poisoned, never got sick because of so called pollution and certainly had not seen anyone piss and shit on the streets. Base on your comments about Chinese, if I visit NYC and saw a junky and I would make statement like all Americans are drug addicts.
      At the end of the day, there is no such term as HKer, they are either Chinese or foreigner reside in HK. HK needs to learn how to be smart and embrace the system rather than fight it, or we will see a dead island sooner than we think.

    • @list67
      @list67 9 лет назад +4

      +Sikeson L You are not poisoned minded by the Chinese government, but by the CCP propaganda. You eat and shit their propaganda all over the place and claim that they are so greatfulness. Every person that has half a mind knows what goes on the in the country, you must have swallowed all the dead fish in Tiajian cyanide explosion.

      居英权计划,正式名称为英国国籍甄选计划(British Nationality Selection Scheme),是英国政府根据《1990年英国国籍法令(香港)》[1]于1990年在英属香港推行的一个计划,给予指定合资格人士拥有英国公民国籍(英国居留权利)。1990年,时任香港总督卫奕信爵士公布居英权计划,提供最高50,000人和他们的家眷名额依照《1990年英国国籍法令(香港)》成为英国公民。根据一九九〇年英国国籍(香港)法,总督可向国务大臣推荐为数达50,000之香港户主登记为英国公民[2]:1。名额主要给予曾经从事敏感职位的政府公务员,以及对香港有贡献、对香港前途具重要性的人士,也包括最有能力及动机申请移民的人士。倘若以主要申请人身份申请获准,配偶和年龄在18岁以下之子女也可申请登记为英国公民[2]:1。居英权拥有人可随时前往英国定居,而无需在英国居留数年以取得居留权,而持有人的子女可在英国就读公立中学。如此可令获得居英权人士安心在香港生活,万一香港出现问题,则可随时前往英国,以减轻香港人才及资金的流失问题。从1990年12月1日起,政务处、人民入境事务处办事处或政府刊物销售处派发申请表格和详细指南[2]:2。
      当时任职行政署署长的曾荫权(前任行政长官),也被委派推广居英权计划。后来,透过李鹏飞与邓莲如的游说,英国政府最后亦在1996年同意让香港的退伍军人之配偶和遗孀以及无国籍的香港居民取得到居英权。根据法案,申请人需要于香港定居及拥有以下任何一项身份[3]:
      英国属土公民,凭借与香港的关系而获得,或者系透过登记或归化。
      英国国民(海外),英国海外公民,英籍人士或受英国保护人士
      符合资格人士可分为四类:
      拥有特殊专业技能的专业人士,一般职业类别,名额36,200[2]:1:例如医生,教师,工程师,物理治疗师,法官,律师,会计师及法医官。
      企业家类别,名额500[2]:1:例如公司主席,首席执行官,董事长及非执行董事
      纪律部队类别,名额7,000[2]:1:例如皇家警察,消防处,惩教署,海关及人民入境事务处
      敏感工作类别,名额6,300[2]:1:例如皇家香港警察政治部,香港军事服务团及皇家香港辅助空军
      大部分申请将按一般职业类别提出,各纪律部队成员应按纪律部队类别提出申请,至于属敏感工作类别及企业家类别之人士,将会获得邀请提出申请[2]:1。
      一般在职人士和纪律部队人士的申请是透过计分方式处理。如申请人拥有英国国籍以外的其他国籍,中华人民共和国国籍除外,不论是自愿或非自愿取得,将会在申请计分时被扣分,惟拥有其他国籍不会被视为不符合资格。
      你這話一出,就係假香港人。
