There it is ... I hear it ... Finally someone captured the real essence of Sierra again. Her magical voice that sounds like it's coming through a time machine made up of old gramophone parts. Amazing and beautiful. Again, like the original " In Dreams" video, I'll have to listen to this a hundred times. So good ...
This sounds a bit like a solo street performance… which makes sense since she was busking when she wrote this song (IIRC). One of my favorite recordings of her live is from a show where it’s just her, Josie on fiddle, and the bass. No “wall of sound” required. She claims that she doesn’t really know how to play guitar but manages to fill a lot of musical space with it.

This is HOW I WISHED HER RECORDED MUSIC SOUNDED!!!!! this is so much better than the studio recorded music! absolutely love it.
And I totally agree btw, her live is so much better. They’re trying to keep a firefly ina jar, and they need to set her free- record “live” in the studio instead of splitting up each layer/performer. It’s a balancing act to keep the sound authentic and uninhibited, and have everything sound cohesive on the album.

‘Instead of her changing her jewelry, how about you change your thinking a little? She is an original in voice and in style. Everyone is drawn to her because we can all hear that rare beauty in her voice. Why take any part of her original expression and want her to conform? She is truly perfect exactly how she is - as are you.
She needs to be and express herself in order to stay sane ( I myself dress very drab and have no tattoos or piercings. Or audience 🙂)
