Hey B. Hooked, myself being a lefty, and, crocheting left handedly backwards-left to right, I've been looked at like I'm an alien freak from planet Zorg!😱 I'm 58 years young and have been crocheting since age 5. I've stopped asking for help from instructors-the ones who looked at me like I'm a freak-as well I don't ask for instructional print-outs from craft stores for the same reason! I've been stuck at "professional beginner" for 53 years now. You're the first one to explain the Chevron stitch-in audio and video form where I understand what's being explained. I'm TRYING to make a Chevron aphgan for a pastor's wife as a treat! He gets one, yet, in a different stitch pattern!😁🤭👍🤓🐻🧸 Doug
Brittany is the best teacher i have found so far. She is patient, slow and clear. Brittany, you make learning fun! Thank you. BTW I am a 64 yr old beginner and I am b.hooked
Thank you for posting! This was the stitch h my Grandma always made blankets and I could not follow other tutorials to learn. very easy to follow. Thank you!
Hey B, Doug here watching your "left handed Chevron stitch. It makes mental sense to me in seeing it done in "lefty" form. In changing yarns-the slip-stitch doesn't work for me. I'll continue to cut the yarn and tie on the new yarn. I have a project blanket that I may need to "frog" because I don't know the stitch I was trying to create in "lefty" form. It's lilac, navy blue, pale flat yellow & fuschia. I'm looking to do a Chevron stitch aphgan with egg-shell white, as the contrasting color! Doug🧶👍🧸 Doug
Thank you for posting this! I've been having trouble figuring out the written patterns but your video is so clear! And you explain things so well. AND you're a leftie too!
Hi. This is what co fuses me. Not the stitch count but where you make 3 st in one. I was taught to crochet 1 chain 2 Then crochet 1 in the same stitch to make a peak. It’s confusing. I don’t know what to do really.
I am having the exact same problem with this that I have had every time I try to do a chevron. I stop the video to do the stitches and I end up a stitch off. then at the end of the row, I AM at the end of the row, when the video shows several stitches left. What am I doing wrong? I have crocheted for MANY years, and this particular pattern continues to be a stinker for me.
Things always tend to go awry for me with ripples and chevrons in the space between the peaks and valleys. Inevitably I add one too many stitches which throws it all off by one. Nowadays I make it a point to count throughout the entire process...definitely not the tune-out and enjoy approach, but it keeps me from frogging all the time 😆

It seems that you are using two different stitches?
Can you do this in double crochet stitches?
Can this be done in DC instead of sc
