Love this song. It's lit and Usher made it Usher Pop. Ester is an amazing song writer. The girl got skills in teaching him on what to focus so he can get better. Very happy Usher chose his first song. Songland amazing platform. Can't wait for Season 3
Omggggggggg they really turned the song around. The original was nice and this version leveled it way up. So proud of him and glad Usher picked him. Loooooove the song!!!!
Musicians and songwriters are AMAZING and so willing to work with each other. They focus on what would make the song better ~ together. We could learn from this people.....
Great insight into a collaborative song writing moment. The riffing in the critique, punching it up with “ hip hop sounds” I legit heard those missing vocals while he was singing,
So miss Usher from radio I stop listening. I love this song amazing! The amped up lyrics were amazing. Thanks man! Good to see you back on the market. I've downloaded this as one of my favorites.
Hey guys i am 16 years old musician,i want to persue music career,i just put out my first song "your love" and please check out and tell me what you think❤️ruclips.net/video/NQZGe8Qpt2g/видео.html
God forgive me as I am a woman who is spoken for…. But G’Damn !!! Not only is Usher breathtaking beautiful, a man that doesn’t age, but he is by far one of the most continuously and consistently one of most talented R&B singers out there! Has been for years!
So many people got writing credit for the final version of this song: Ester Dean / Kaj Nelson Blokhuis / Melvin Hough III / Michael Ray Ngyuen-Stevenson / Michael Wise / Rivelino Raoul Wouter / Ryan Cambetes / Ryan Tedder / Shane McAnally / Usher Raymond
Usher did his thang on his version of this song. He killed it....I could also see Justin Bieber doing a version of a song closer to the original. They could have left of the rap part though.
I wish they didn't re-pitch it and speed it up. I liked the laid-back vibe and it would have been cool to hear from Usher. He could've gone nuts over the top of it building it up as a crescendo. I liked the Ester version
Definitely could’ve seen the original or re-written as a Drake song. But then I hear what Usher did with it & it sticks. Never released it for billboard but it was my song for the summer
Man. Love this song, but the rap lyrics threw me off. It's like 2 different song themes. I like the rap tempo and cadence, but thats it. If someone can remix this song and replace that part with something relevant it's a daily listen for me.
The original was so boring and not dynamic and almost sounded too much like a Drake song (which isn’t really a bad thing) but it needed some depth and to fit Usher. Usher and Ester beefed it up.
I LOVE this show!! Where are you Songland for 2023? Please come back.
Or 2024
Bring this show back
The evolution of this song is amazing
WORDDD!!
Esther knows what she’s doing for damn sure!!!!

I see what you mean. Idk tho, I think it adds an extra layer. I definitely a rap is a good choir in tho.
I was concerned in the beginning but this song turned out to be fire. Great job!
This song is such a vibe
I saw Songland the night this guy actually won👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Congratulations to both he and Usher, it is definitely a HIT💝👍🏾
Oh dang this is where the song came from, he did a good job
Musicians and songwriters are AMAZING and so willing to work with each other. They focus on what would make the song better ~ together. We could learn from this people.....
The best part. Can't believe how Usher and Tiger turned this song upside down. Aaaamazing☺😄
this show is amaze-balls i can’t get enough! get these songwriters paid and show me the journey! i’m lovin’ it like mckie DEEZ! sorry i’m hungry 😂
One of the best shows ever! Love you guys!
Great insight into a collaborative song writing moment. The riffing in the critique, punching it up with “ hip hop sounds” I legit heard those missing vocals while he was singing,
love this show bring it back
2022 and this is still one of my favorites🎶🎵🎶🎵💝
One of my favorites. Usher=Cool 😎
So miss Usher from radio I stop listening. I love this song amazing! The amped up lyrics were amazing. Thanks man! Good to see you back on the market. I've downloaded this as one of my favorites.

Usher is so cool 😎
Ryan is soooo chill
This is my favorite song from Songland
This song just a Vibe
So Relevant in California change the scene
Best if the best if u get opportunities to work with the KING
Esther says “this guy is global!”. Usher says….Yes” 😂
Usher already knew he was gonna change it lol dope change up tho
Great song on the lyrics, dude you are very talented, love this song.
I love this song, the original pitch. I agree that there was something lost in the Usher version. Esther did her thang!!!

Original version is trash compared to the remix version
Ayeee this was a great record that Usher picked!
we need a live performance of this song
Love the final stuff 😌
ah man i wish they kept the beat the same in the final version. think it would be more vibey and cross charts
I agree one hundred.
this song is better episode songland ever usher
I'm obsessed with SONGLAND .. don't watch TV.. so found this here..
God forgive me as I am a woman who is spoken for…. But G’Damn !!! Not only is Usher breathtaking beautiful, a man that doesn’t age, but he is by far one of the most continuously and consistently one of most talented R&B singers out there! Has been for years!
So good!
ESTHER BLESSED THE RECORD!!! SMH WOW WOW WOW! ITS LIT NOW!

this show is great. you get a peek at the evolution of the song. they having another season?
@4:25 "Did you see how it took getting the beat up for us to get it right for Usher? This guy is global!"
Usher: " Yes. Yes, I am. "😂
Usher did his thang on his version of this song. He killed it....I could also see Justin Bieber doing a version of a song closer to the original. They could have left of the rap part though.
#usher
#greatest

Flyin out your friends like I used to When usher said hey told me everything I need to know lucky girls lucky girls
🙏🏿❤️
Epic❤❤❤😂😂
This guy has a real “any holes a goal” kinda vibe 😅😂😂😂
One line made the whole song different. Then it became the business
I like the song cuz it's definitely a chilled vibe...can do without the rap because Tyga voice so strong...lessens the chill to me...
Idk I like the rap. I think it adds an extra layer. I think a rap in it makes it better
Yeah they jazzed it up too much after ester.
This a Khalid vibe
Funny you say that cause the person (Khirye Tyler) plays for Khalid.
this sounds like a drake song lol
i agree
I feel that vibe too
Definitely could’ve seen the original or re-written as a Drake song. But then I hear what Usher did with it & it sticks. Never released it for billboard but it was my song for the summer
Feels like a Drake song
That’s what I was thinking!
If usher needs a song. Send me a title i will have u a song 5 dif ways.
I see Snoop on this
This song was is the weakest of the final 3. I’m surprised that Usher picked it, but then again this is a super easy song to sing
I loved what usher did with it great
Usher really saw the potential in it. The other songs were probably too typical for Usher.
We need RYAN LESLIE as a helper to make their songs
omg yaaaaaasssss
I love Ryan Leslie❤️
so singing aint ryan's thing
for real lol
This was one of the few episodes where they had a songwriter who wasn’t really a strong singer
Man. Love this song, but the rap lyrics threw me off. It's like 2 different song themes. I like the rap tempo and cadence, but thats it. If someone can remix this song and replace that part with something relevant it's a daily listen for me.
He literally rapped about things that are related to Cali, paparazzi, palm trees, tanning, LeBron and the Lakers. Tf are you talking about?
Hey, Usher is a trademarked name in the music industry. You've got to stop using it.
One commercial in the middle of the video was deplorable. Two commercials in the same video is obtrusive & deplorable. #Greedy
I hated this song so much but it’s ok now that they changed it a bit but not a bop
Wait homeboy Ryan writes the song and Usher releases it as his? That seems pretty lame. Granted Ryan's gonna get lots of royalties but still
Still think the David wade song was better
This song had Drake written all over it. Not a fan of the usher track
You crazy
Hater 🙄
I liked it better when he sang it. Ushers version.... not so much
Hater on asile 1 I like both
The original was so boring and not dynamic and almost sounded too much like a Drake song (which isn’t really a bad thing) but it needed some depth and to fit Usher. Usher and Ester beefed it up.
I can tell you're vanilla.
Hater 🤐🙄
I don't like the Usher version as much as the original
The evolution is terible - sometimes you juts need to leave things alone less is more...
