COD:IW's EBR-800 is a sniper rifle that is very similar to the Mk14 EBR, and its ability to fire fully automatically was attractive despite its low damage. It's a bit of a shame that it wasn't featured in this video...
Both M14 and Mk14 EBR does have a fire-selector but it was restricted to semi-auto only throughout from CoD4: MW to CoD:MW2019 (as of in CoD:MWII 2022, the original M14 can now use select fire but not for Mk14 EBR)
@masrendra 86 Battle Rifles are essentially full-powered assault rifles. The Mk.14 in MW2 has no Select-fire and it being in the Marksman category makes me believe thats it's the M39. Makes me sad that you can't put the Mk14 body on the SO-14 to make that a proper MK14 EBR.
I like how the M14 had the same reload animation all the way from MW2 (2009) to AW (2014). Then changed until COD Mobile released and MW2 Remastered kinda kept the original animation but made it more realistic

the M14 was supposed to replace the BAR, Garand, and Thompson SMGs from WW2 but it kinda failed at that. a full atuo M14 isnt the most controllable thing around so it pretty much was only used in semi auto

The Mk 14 EBR sniper version or DMR is called M39 EMR. However call of duty done put the weapons standard version, enhanced modern version or marksmen rifle versions in evry possible title of their games. In the newest MWIII, the weapon celebrates its first double appearence with the SO-14 (M14 SOCOM) and the EBR-14 (M39 EMR). Out of these two standards we can create multiple versions of the rifle like it was used since 1959. CoD also made the rifle a brilliant tool in their storylines.

Yet, half of the footage shown are classic fixed stocked M14's (COD4/MWR, BO1, BO2, BO3, MW2019, Cold War, MWII's SO14), while the other half are EBR's. Either way, EBR's are still M14's nevertheless. It's not like that it became a completely new weapon, a user can simply swap the fixed stock chassis out of their M14's with Sage EBR ones.

black ops 1, 4, cold war, mw19, mw2r and mw22 are the games that get it right because the m14 and mk14 ebr's bolt should always lock back once empty
