My favorite of all the AK-47/AKM models is the MW2022 one. However, I build it off the RPK. It has all the same attachments available as the "Kastov 762" or whatever they call it. The thing is, if you build an AKM from the RPK, you get the ribbed dust cover AND instead of getting a railed dust cover when using an optic, instead you get a classy sidemount. So for those building a classic-style AKM in MW2022, I highly suggest making your build based on the RPK. Again, same barrel with the iconic palm-swell wood furniture, the classic wood stock, and that's it. Everything else is technically optional from there.

Plus, you can tune it once it's fully leveled. Personally, my set-up was the barrel and the stock with a 40 round mag (since it was the classic steel design whereas the 30 rounder is polymer), almost any red dot, and a laser (any that help hipfire). Then I tune it for max ADS. The recoil isn't bad imo. It's no laser beam, but it works for me.

In CoD BO: CW, there's another AK-47 named "Type 56 Assault Rifle (the game still named it as "AK-47")", which was used by NVA & VC during Vietnam War. It can be used in singleplayer only
What I’ve noticed about COD is the that every AK47 is different model. Such as the AKM from COD4 remastered, AK103 from MW2 2023, the Ak203 from MW2 2009 and etc.

"accurate" Best joke ever. The scope rail is already wrong but that's liteeally the least of this game's AK's problem. The triangle folder and the PKM stock don't fit onto a milled AK receiver. The RPK barrel doesn't fit either. The (AKM) bayonet isn't even latched onto a lug (because there isn't one on AK-47 anyways) and would fall off. The 5.45 conversion doesn't make sense; AK-74 is a rechambered AKM, not a rechambered 47.
@Sunny it's MW3 who had the correct one. COD4/remastered had the AKM. While the one on MW2 was an AK-103 according to the employee's of infinity ward.

@@l0rd0f5k33p it's different. AK-47 uses a milled receiver, AKM is Stamped. For basic visual cues, the AKM has a ribbed top cover and an L-Shaped compensator in which the AK-47 doesn't have.
It must be noted that majority of the COD's "AK-47's" on that list aren't actually AK-47's, which in this case COD4's AKM and MWII's AK103 with wooden furniture to name the few.

Its always been interesting owning a IRL AK and comparing it how they're portrayed in videogames and seeing who is able to get them right. You can tell instantly if the game developer took the time to accurately replicate the feeling, look, and function of the ak and fortunately ive seen more games replicate it pretty well. I was very pleased with the ak in MW2 2022 and warzone; it handled like I did in real life.

I like how in the fist two mw's the Ak doesnt insert in. Like it sits flush where the magwell starts. In BLOPs one and later it seems to actually go insert into the magwell whenever they rock it in. Good detail right there

the model is from cod online's, not cod4r, they ported the model to a tee with the misalinged ironsights and all still there (video example: ruclips.net/video/vh3qUFWaBOw/видео.html) however there are weapons that came from cod4r, namely machete and m16

It looks like Advanced Warfare was the first CoD to have 2 separate animations for if the magazine has rounds in it or not. It looks like the character saves the magazine with rounds still in it.

AK-47 doesn't because AK-47 is the least common gun of the mainline AK family. The thing has been replaced as soon as 1959.
