Interesting Article; I was told I had Glaucoma in 2000. I had cataracts removed in 2003. They did implants so I would not have to wear Coke Bottles. I was put 0n 1 eye drop after another. My pressures were trageted to be 12 both eyes. Then in 2020, they did laser to reduce my eye pressures as they were now 14 and the doctor told me no need for eyedrops now. But he still gave me 9 months of eyedrops. He scheduled me for my next appointment in 6 months. I had the pressures checked a 6 months later. they were now 15, so the laser did nothing. I now had a big problem, as no matter what we did my eye pressures stayed above 15. I was losing the battle. Since then I have lost most of the vision in my good right eye. my left eye has blind area above the center. Now my vision is getting fuzzy and I have double vision. Not sure how much longer I will last. I gave up driving in 2020. I can get around the house as I have memorized it well. Then next problem is coming soon. I do not look forward to the coming months and years. I was told 3 years ago that they were very, very close for a cure due to very good progress in several areas for Glaucoma repairs. And for me not to worry. Well, that was 3 years ago now and I see no further progress. Hope for the best, but expect the worst. Good Luck to all of you with similar problems. Doctors tell you stuff, but really do not know.

I started to get a really bad headache, both eyes extremely cloudy. Went to ER and Dr. didn't know what was wrong but gave me several shots of fentanyl (3). Pain was getting better, got sent home. Eyes cleared up after awhile. I thought the headache was so bad that it was affecting my eyes. Once in awhile, after that, one of my eyes would get a little "cloudy". Kinda like when you open your eyes underwater in the swimming pool and when you get out your eyesight is kinda cloudy from the chlorine. Like I said every now and then that happened. One day it happened again, I just took tylenol thinking the pain was from my headache. After 24 hours I couldn't stand it anymore, went to the same ER. They didn't have a clue what was wrong ( I also have an aneurysm) they admitted me, took me up to a room. I was in excruciating pain. I'd been at the hospital for about 9 or 10 hours. Finally a Dr. came into my room and said he wanted to check the pressure in my eyes. He immediately said I need to get to an eye surgeon before I go blind. Left the hospital and met the eye surgeon at her closed office. She drilled a hole in each eye, left one got better but right one, no change. I couldn't take the pain. She eventually had to get a needle and suction fluid out. Pain started going away, thank god. My eyesight is permanently damaged.

@@freebackgroundmusicnon-cop4846 my left eye is ok, I can see clearly out of it with glasses, but my right eye (pressure was OVER 85) it's like all cloudy. If both of my eyes were like that I wouldn't be able to read or drive. My pupil stays dilated so light is almost blinding. I really feel such a loss. I mean I'm so grateful that I can still see but it was kinda hard to deal with.

HI! my grandmother had a check up on her eyes. after the check up around 4-5 hours after she experienced sudden vision loss and painful eye. They dilated her eyes for the check up and it seems one of her eye did not return to normal. took her back to the hospital a day after and now on meds that you described. ( she was never diagnosed with glaucoma , even after numerous eye check ups and even the check up she had that caused caused the ocular hypertension , the doctor did not mention she has glaucoma. we have been to 4 -5 doctors before and all they prescribed to her was lubricants because of old age). Can her vision recover? her vision improved after the initial treatment but still hazy.

I am suffering from glucoma, 3 months back my vision started to become blurred, dim low and hazy, Doctor here suggested glucoma and cataract surgery which I did almost 2 months back but no improvement , Doctor say my nerves have become damaged due to eye pressure , the pressure at present seems to be more or less normal. Is there anything can be done so that my eyesight becomes normal and I may be able to see clearly . I can see but the vision is dim and low.For example if I see out of the window and if there is a building at a distance I can see the structural and not the detailing, if I am sitting in a bright light room the light seems to be dim and focus is low. As a former lactation counselor, I would refer to the American Academy of Pediatrics drug safety list to be sure of the drug's classification. As I recall the few drugs classified as contraindicated while nursing were mostly illegal drugs and harsh chemo therapy drugs. Given an eye drop is a very small dose and more or less topically applied, very little would pass through your blood stream into your milk. So chances are the many benefits of nursing would out weigh the slight risk of your eye drops effecting your baby's health.
